clausewitz 1 Posted September 24, 2005 Hi, I have Y2K3 7.2 installed and played a little bit around. The thing I was wondering about is that handgrenades do not work any longer. They are shown in inventory and I can throw them, but while throwing no grenade is to be seen and no explosion or other effects appear. And yes, clouds (Wolken in german) are enabled, of course. These "phantom grenades" do not cause any damage, it seems they aren't existing. Anyone else who noticed that? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Pappy Boyington 0 Posted September 26, 2005 there is a 5 second timer on all the grenades now. that feature was introduced in 7.1 i have to ask thou did you upgrade from 7.0 to 7.1? or did you do a 7.1 clean install? cuz the 7.0 to 7.1 patch was faulty and caused that and numorus other errors but 7.1 full was clean. as is the 7.1 to 7.2 patch. "But when I tried to select the Salvager and try it I got an error about SPP_Crew or something in the likes of that. " this is not a Y2K3 issue since i have no clue wtf that addon is... let alone use it. "The same goes for selecting the M2 armed HTTV, but this one about HYK_USsol" seems to work for me, you goin from a 7.1 full install patched to 7.2? or did you start from 7.0?? Well, I am not sure, but I have Y2K3 7.0, 7.1 Patch and 7.2 Patch on HDD, so I think I upgraded it step by step. Its a few days ago I did. But if you say that the patch could cause that bug I will d/l the 7.1 full version to try that out. Will report again what the result is. Thanx for that! Pappy Boyington 0 Posted September 26, 2005 i want to get this patch out since it has the really cool features like the 3d crater and such. the reason it wont make this patch is theres only one person in the world that has it is manfred... and his internet is fubar, cant send files. so he cant get it to anyone to release it. so the spetnaz mod will not be releasing that shilka.. and knowing htier relase record prolly never but thats beside the point. when i read the news post about it it said "a week to release" that was 3 months ago. years ago i got smart with the "work in progress" posts and stuff.. dont belive it until you see a "released" topic. u wont be disappointed however 7.3 isnt like that 7.3 will be released this friday Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I think it could replace the Shilka? i like to replace vehicles with the same or highly simaler modern variants. the shilka is a ZSU-2-4 the tungsuka is a 2 barell weapon with 8 AA missle tubes. if i use it i need to implement the AA missles as well, if i do that it will screw up so many missions i couldnt begin to name them all. on top of that it would be extremly weird to jump in a mission "destroy the shilkas" yet.. theres no 'shilkas' on the map. thats like the early days of ofp addons where u play a mission flying an "f16" but its really just a reconfiged A10. (attack pilots are in AH1 and AH64) Improvments/Additions: *Motorcycle will feature a phantom cargo proxy to keep mission compatibility *East & West tanks will now be balanced with armor and weapon changes. the M60 has a new gun and ammo configuration and both the T72 and T80 will have the same ORCS gun and ammo (both res and east sides)... however the T55 remains unchanged and still remains to be the rotton old out dated peice of shit it is so takinga t55 into an armor battle is like bringing a rubber mallet to a gun fight. *3D Craters featured under all APC and Armored vehicles as well as randomly placed under cars, crashed planes, and crashed helos. completly random for the last 3 items but 100% for the tanks and APC's. assuming the tank isnt burning the craters also ofer little, but some, protection from enemy fire. *In keeping game fairness anti-tank weapons including the AT4, the Satchel Charges, the Mines, but the AT weapons for east and west remain the same.. after testing 1 hit from the AT weapon disables the tank enough the crew bails out. <span style='color:red'>VERY IMPORTANT!!! 7.3 REQUIRES YOU TO HAVE 7.2 and 7.1 (full) INSTALLED FIRST!</span> Y2K3 7.3 Patch (49MB) Known Bugs: crater sometimes apperes to be 4 feet high.. this happens sometimes when a tank is blown clear into the air, its rare but it does occur Enjoy  Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

clausewitz 1 Posted September 30, 2005 Haven't d/l the patch yet, but as Y2K3 is designed also to replay rhe standard campaigns, I have an urgent request: The civil PV3S truck (concerning Y2K3 V.7.2) is useless. This truck cannot load a single weapon and only a few magazines. This means that Resistance campaign is unplayable with Y2K3 because I cannot collect the very important weapons, especially in the third mission when Troska gets in command of the Resistance. Please, get rid oft that truck or re-configurate the payload in that way like a standard truck is: payload of 50 weapons and 500 magazines.
