Fear Animations?

I was just wondering if there any animations of soldiers and civys in fear of there lives. If not i might try my hand at makeing them. What You guys think.

I think there are a few in the game like the hold hand behind back and kneeldown. Apart from that i havent seen else , not even in the custom made ones.

Do you have anything more specific in mind? There was quite a few animations done...but depends what your looking for.

Soldiers on the battlefield not wanting to fight just being a Coward. Just like that rat guy in Saveing Private Ryan the guys just cowers behind the cow and in the last battle were he just sits and crys.

Coward? A coward if you don't want to die?

I don't think any of us who haven't "been there, done that" should say that one who is frightened in battle is a coward. At least I admit that if I would be sitting in that trench with a rifle and would get the chance to run like hell, survive with the name of a coward and live the rest of my life peacefully or then fight, fight and then explode with a grenade and die as an unknown soldier alongside in the thousands, I surely would choose the first one.

Well, of course it's not what I would WANT to do, but a human being is such that it, for some reason, doesn't want to die.

I'm sorry if moderators think this is flamebaiting or flaming, I just had to say my opinion. And horrible offtopic it is, yeah.

I seem to remember there was an animation in olp ECP with a soldier sitting on a chair crying, (kind of sad really...)

I could be wrong though...

Definatly something that would improve the atmosphere, but I haven't seen any. Hope you'll find some.

Hmm now you say it I made some of these animations even some weird ones for a mission I was working on.

I'll search them and upload them for you

They contained:

Suicide animation ( Person holding hand gun to his head, I don't know why I made it but it was needed for a cutscene )

Hostage animation ( Almost likely to the suicide one except some one hold another person strapped down and aiming his handgun to his/her head )

Coward animations: Made many of them like: Soldier laying on the ground and shaking uncontrollable, and one with a soldier sitting depressed with his hands in his head and slowy kneeling forwards and backwards and more.

Asoon I find them i'll upload them so excpect them soon

Well since I can't find the animations at this moment I just made a quick new one ( it's a soldier praying for his life ) It looks odd but it could be usefull, If I don't find them soon i'll re-make them for you.

how about a anim where the guy gets so scared he soils himself?  I see a [this] exec "crap_pants.sqs" and an Action Menu item for "Change Underwear" coming soon   .

All these look good. I assume they're static though? Would be cool to see some soldiers react to incoming fire by ducking and grabing their heads like in 50 pences pic.

Another thought I had (while playing Far Cry) was some idle movements; stretching, scratching, fidgeting etc.

Would make for some very immersive surprise attack type missions, where you could watch guards/sentries do the above through you binoculars or scope

somewhere in the game theres a smoking animation that was used in teh demo.... but the lack of a cigarette was a problem

there are fear animations in ECP mod if i'm not mistaken

soldiers folding their hands over their heads, either sitting or lying down, as in fear

or they might be in the collected Animations Pack released some time ago, but alas the link I have is over at ofp.at, which is down at the moment.
