*Bump* ,this thread doesn't deserve to be on the second page of this forum.

Risking the possibilety that i maight delay the work on this product ,may i request some mouth wetting appatizer screenshot's for the moment? (or more like "drool over these" pics? )

And might i also ask about the coorperation with the Civil war mod on this one? i can only but think that they really would want this stuff ,and their horde of fans including me to.

Like Philcommando said above....Master Chief is probaly on vacation so no screens until he gets back. I really hope the project is almost done.

Actually, the quote was written by Shakespeare in 1592, over 100 years after the time of Richard III, who died in 1485.

well I still have a number of decent equine models, that you can get a leg up on getting the textureing work done on. that should keep you busy till the script issues are dealt with. PM me..

Actualy it looks like that a great thing like this has been gone M.I.A :=( shame this has happend before to many times.

Philcommando nor MC didn't Pm'ed me back and they both are away now for a long time, what is up with that?

Please keep us informed PC and MC.

You are speculating, and PC has been around seems busy with a dozen other projects he released. Mostlikely trying to fix the bridge issue. MC is working on a whole mod, so it make some sence that he spend more time doing actualy work that wasting time answering the same questions over and over again.

If you guys forgot PC just released another aircraftcarrier addon, and para units. Then had to correct bugs and fix issues with AI being able to use them.

Eventually one of them will have something significant to say about this issue, once something worth while is aviable to comment on.

So rather than keep spamming the thread bacuse a few poeople are impaintaint, which will get it closed I suggest waiting.

I guess it would be fun if a good horse is released. Once i saw MC's posts on achieving the walking breakthrough, i had abandoned the project, cos his is so much better than wat i could achieve, mine a czech Lada car to his Mercedez car comparison. No point duplicating our projects as there are more other limitations to break.

However, if by next Friday, there is no news from MC, guess i will have to take it up again. This time perhaps by using moving vertices technique directly using scripts to have walking simulation of the rear legs.

If anyone else is working on this breakthru, feel free to pm me. I am not selfish and will share research notes. Hell! i want a good horse too! tounge_o.gif

Some update:-

While tinkering with the horse, my original concept was to use man class and duplicating the legs to make 4 legs of a horse. Its possible but the offsetting have to be very precise and the results might not be good.

A) However, just tested, by using the normal door opening sequence animation, with rotation points for each leg and a looping script to have a door type opening and close animation when the horse run, a better semblance of movement is achieve. Now it only needs to refine the movement of legs to match the actual speed to get a closer reality of the horse running. A second script sequence will be required for the walk movement to complement the run movement. The scripts will be activated from the config, and the sequencing is done thru the speed _vehicle < or > command.

Just a research note for anyone else ( if any ) is currently on a horse project.

Sounds good Phil. I'd rather see you work on the horse as I know you work pretty fast. So I hope you keep on working on the horse with rider concept.
