da12thMonkey 1943 Posted September 12, 2004 I've been looking around the Japanese OFP a little this weekend after finding some shots of an Mi-24V being made by Scar (of Leopard 2A6 fame): http://www11.tok2.com/home2/oekusee/index.htm and wanted to see what kind of talent there was in the rest of Japan apart from him and the guys at BOH when I found these JASDF aircraft made by Rezin: Mitsubishi F1 Mitsubishi/Lockheed Martin F2 You can download them at http://rezin.at.infoseek.co.jp/down.html. Looks like the reflection of the sun on the window of the Hind has been touched up with photoshop - surely, it can't be a straight screenshot!!! Correct, I too believe that those reflections are in the textures (even in the windowtexture). It looks like a very basic picture and I don't think it's worth it to add such small things in photoshop. It sure looks really cool. (Yumm look on the last screen, I see somthing green) Love both the F1 and F2 by Rezin, but the F2 cockpit is really clean/diffrent compared to the F1. miles teg 1 Posted September 13, 2004 Awesome! I've been wanting to see the F1 in the game for a long time! Does Japan still use the F-1? I've always thought that it was a great looking fighter bomber. Overall I really like the handling on these planes, especially the F1. I was able to do some good low level flying in it with good control. The Afterburner is nice for getting out of range of AA guns quickly. My only knitpick is that these beautiful planes lack a good flare and/or ECM script so they end up getting shot down by AA missiles VERY VERY easily. Oh...also sometimes the planes fly into the ground also...although I know that's more of a OFP engine problem (many airplane addons have this problem). Fortunately they don't fly into the ground too terribly often. At rate, aside from the handling, they look great, the sounds are great on them, and they provide the BOH mod's Japanese forces with some good fighter cover. Now if only Remo would update his North Korean pack. Until then I guess Remo's old North Korean pack still make for good opponents. In "JASDF project", the release is planned variously. They are "F-4EJ", "F-4EJkai", "F-15J", a "ground crew", etc. Please expect and wait. This bomb is not included in the pack, but might be in the future (?). The handling is insane. The F1 can make moves that make me sick just sitting behind my desk . Very nice work on thse planes.
