Often ,when jet pilot's make recording's of UFO's (that has happened in other country's to ,in '94 in Belgium there was also a case of and f16 pilot chasing "UFO's") ,they are believed to be prototype aircraft of the American millitary.Taken into account the advancedness of certain American material and the fact that most such material is tested in the Nevade-New Mexico bases wich are very close to the Mexican border ,i would not be surprized is this pilot picked up a number of American test prototype plane's on test.

I saw a very similar thing on Discovery. Also several lightballs in the sky. The explanation:

The military had droped flares over a military training zone, the flares had parachutes so they seemed to hang still in the air and they burn out after about 5 minutes.

Ofcourse the flares explanation was way to crazy for many people, they go with the more rational explanation of aliens.

as far as the ones that look like flares, i too have seen those particular UFOs.

im not saying that they are necessarily alien spaceships, but i can tell you w/ all certainty that they are not "flares".

me and my friend sat and watched them for about 45 minutes. they didnt move or sink towards the ground at all like a flare would.. even a parachute flare, which as a WWII reenactor i have fired quite a few of, only has a few minutes of time in the air before it drops or goes out. there was quite a breeze that night, and these flares kept their formation

Flares don't fly accross the sky with a constant velocity - unless some crazy mofo stuck them on rockets.

I dont know how the flares acted that you are talking about but the ones I saw on discovery didnt move.

Flares, how many IR and lower wavelength flares are there? Remember these were not emitting energy in humanly visible wavelengths... maybe it is a new US flare. Who knows.
