Guess the name of the game

Recommended Posts

How about this one? Best game ever. Was featured on a Johnny Ball programme way back in the day.

This is the C64 version, was also available on Atari.

EDIT: Nuts, link is fried.

Without looking at the picture... smile_o.gif

Street Fighter ! the first game from a famous serie smile_o.gif

I recognized it from this street graphics and this "cockhead"/block head words biggrin_o.gif

I think it was the england stage.

But , i knew the Arcade coin op version and the CPC464 version and the graphics were different from the version you posted.

What computer was this screenshot on , was it C64 ?

It is Star Control ... i think smile_o.gif

But i am not sure if it is the first or the second opus.

There is actually a free sourceforge project here

http://sc2.sourceforge.net/

That is in fact the ported 3DO sources of SC2 "3DO" for modern computers.

This is what the arcade version looked like:

It's Star Control 2. The adventure just sucked me in. Collect minerals from planets and sell them, meet aliens and communicate with them, upgrade your space ship, solve problems, and save the universe. The game was so full of atmosphere and humor.

Yes I know the unofficial Ur-quan Masters edition to match the game with modern PCs smile_o.gif. Love the voices for the aliens they have added to the game, they have made the whole thing surprisingly well. Everyone who likes adventure games get the SC2: Ur-quan masters edition now! it's free.

Remember DID's original `F29 Retaliator'? I had it on the Amiga, good fun with the infinite ammo cheats running. Fully zoomed out satellite view + backwinder missiles = win! They released a demo for an addon that never appeared which was set in the arctic and involved UFOs. The demo was really good, very atmospheric, shame it never appeared.
