With Bush doing this, as much as it may simply be a campaign stunt, if he had not done this, then he would blatantly ignoring a prominant figure in the black community for civil rights. Somewhat of the lesser of two evils.

Tex, how do you stand living in Bush country. God I hope the Dems can get their act together. Hopefully Iowa will shake loose some of the excess baggage and narrow the field to two or three real candidates capable of defeating Shrub. Right now I like Clark the best, but Kerry and Dean would have my vote too if either became the frontrunner. Gephardt and Lieberman need to just cash it in, they have zero hope. I see Edwards as somebody's VP first and then, maybe President someday, but not now.

I think the biggest problems is the lack of, from what I hear, good democratic candidates. So I beleive that if they don't get a very good character for democrats, Republicans will be doing good for awhile still.

Clark is also known as the "Perfumed Prince" in military circles because of his reputation as being a brown-noser and bureaucrat.

Don't forget Kerry is a veteran too, and has more political experience than Clark.

Clark just strikes me as someone who would be a pawn to the same people that Bush works for. I don't think he really cares about domestic interests and is mainly interested in foreign policy; namely, taking over for Bush in attacking the rest of the planet.

I thought Dean was good up 'til now, but he's starting to look kind of phony lately. Not sure who I'd vote for yet, but it ain't going to be Bush, Clark or Lieberman.

Well, not quite peace keepers, but paratroopers. When Yugoslavia signed the cease-fire agreement there was a big disagreement between NATO and Russia who would get to control which parts of Kosovo. Both wanted Pristina. In the midst of the discussions, NATO started moving in troops from Macedonia into Kosovo. The Russians responded by leap-frogging the NATO troops, making an aerial drop on Pristina airport, seizing it with paratroopers and declaring it under Russian control. A few awkward days followed.

Please tell me what Bush visiting Martin Luther King Jr.'s grave has to do with getting reelected. Tommorow (Monday) is Martin Luther King Jr. day in the U.S. - a national holiday in the U.S. It only seems appropriate that Bush would do something to celebrate it.
