Guba 0 Posted January 15, 2004 Calm down Shadow! You're getting antsy What do I have to do to backup my OFP so I can have a 1.94 and a 1.95? Just copy the whole flashpoint folder somewhere like to my desktop? no, only the flashpointbeta.exe Saved my .exe's to a sperate folder. Now When I go to start it it says: "This application has failed to start because IFC22.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem" I need to reinstall to play online I guess no, when u wanna use 1.94 u have to put the old exe back to the ofp directory. Or even easier: Change the names of the executables and keep both in the ofp folder. For instance you can have: flashpointbeta195.exe flashpointbeta194.exe Then you just have to update your shortcuts acording to which of the versions you want to load. lee_h._oswald 0 Posted January 15, 2004 Has anyone tried the rudder during flight on planes yet? Yes, and it is -F A N T A S T I C- !!! Thank you so much BIS! Now you can land the AN124 with 1st person view like a charm. All other planes also. Absolutly great, landing a plane is much more fun now! MfG Lee
nyles 11 Posted January 15, 2004 Watching a 4vs4 AI dogfight with Camels from the ground is a great experience. Some few midaircrashes, but overall they do some very smooth flying.

madmedic 0 Posted January 16, 2004 I have a question...I have changed my config to use Inquisitors weapon models...Is the update going to change the config back to the original models?
lee_h._oswald 0 Posted January 16, 2004 Wow, OFP runs much smoother now! Don´t call it a patch, call it an engine upgrade! BAS Tonal runs so smooth now, it´s unbelieveable! (Not only in the editor.) I said it once, I say it again: Best Support for a Game EVER!!! MfG Lee
Acecombat 0 Posted January 16, 2004 Now i feel the money i spent on RES and Gold Edition was truly worth it. Great job BIS the air battles are supreme

I said it once, I say it again: Best Support for a Game EVER!!! MfG Lee I noticed this too. Taking some screenshots earlier of dogfighting camels, I had my maximum resoltuion on (1600x1200) and if was like running water. It was so Mouse movement and camera movement was so smooth. Not too shabby for a GF2
Harkonin 0 Posted January 16, 2004 I see the Ballistic Addons Server is running 1.95, is there a DL link or are they the special ones?
Mb27 0 Posted January 16, 2004 I would just like to say how much improved the dogfights are with the Sopwith Camel AI Pilots. Â I have shot down many Sopwith Camels with the Fokker Tri-plane Addon. Â The 1.95 AI pilots are not as predictable. Â I'll still be able to shoot them down, but it will take longer. Thanks again BIS for a great game!
nyles 11 Posted January 16, 2004 I guess they are not using a standalone dedicated server, but are running normal OFP 1.95 .exe with something like a "-server" parameter as a temporary workaround until the server files are released. *shrug*
The Frenchman 0 Posted January 16, 2004 Thanks BIS. This is a great birthday present.
Heatseeker 0 Posted January 16, 2004 Thanks BIS. This is a great birthday present. Happy B-day Frenchman . Now... oh yes the patch, performance wise everything seems the same has 1.94, runs great on the ground and jumps like hell when moving fast on a helicopter or jet when theres many objects on screen. Went for a Comanche ride around Tonal and it didnt ctd (no -nomap thingy used) so i guess the patch is usefull for those who can run those monster islands with good frame rates. Pretty much the same. Nagual 0 Posted January 16, 2004 Great that big islands don't lag in the editor anymore. Cool, best news i've heard all week.

gazmen 0 Posted January 16, 2004 Hi, people, I have Goty installed, and I have installed the 1.94, but i remove FlashpointResistance.exe, now when I wan't to patch in 1.95B, the patch said that 1.91 files is missing, can anyone send me the "FlashpointResistance.exe 1.91" at Gazmend@be.tf, he take to long to reinstall... Thanks
Mr ThunderMakeR 0 Posted January 16, 2004 One beef with the patch: The view always automatically returns to looking forward when you look to the sides in vehicles now, before there was a way to keep your view looking to the sides.
redface 1 Posted January 16, 2004 Quote[/b] ]1.95 - Fixed: after load, engine was off for cars, tanks and planes does that mean that one can now spawn flying planes in mid-air ad libitum? can anyone try this? if so, then expect a lot more persistent airstrikes raining down on your head ...
