Trenchfeet 0 Posted January 5, 2004 Great work Martin!!! excellent textures and interior work!!! the panel and seatings are excellent i just have a coupple of concerns but as its beta who cares? I think its a little bit to light in the air and to easy to go left/right. With the smoke script just check that when its in the air, it checks the speed and cances the smoke. Anyway i'll make the changes and send you the script GREATJOB!!
miles teg 1 Posted January 5, 2004 The plane is a tiny bit sensitive turning left or right, however I would NOT want this changed if it effected the handling because right now I think it handles beautifully. I certainly do NOT want to see another flying truck that can barely turn like the last C-47 addon made by Mars911 (which was wonderful at the time, but very difficult to fly). But if the handling can be tweaked just a bit, that would be cool. But right now, it's easy to fly and the AI have no problems flying it so it might be better off left alone in my opinion. As for the smoke, I would definitely like to see a little more smoke as it's actually airborne at least for a little while longer. But that's just a minor knitpick. Like others I am AMAZED at how smoothly this addon works in OFP despite the incredible detail. It causes less lag then many other far less detailed aircraft. That in itself is marvelous!!! Migebuff 0 Posted January 6, 2004 I just noticed that most of the external textures are also stolen from Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004, he just changed them a bit..... Poor guy.....did he think nobody would notice it?
miles teg 1 Posted January 6, 2004 Perhaps, perhaps not. If he really did use Microsoft textures do you think that it would prevent anyone from buying a Microsoft flight simulation program??? Other then just giving credit to the original artists (which he really should do if he did use other's textures or modified other people's textures), I don't think it's that big of a deal as he's not selling this product and it's not competing with Microsoft products. colonel_klink 0 Posted January 6, 2004 Excellent addon, Martin. Looks like I need to finish the F27 Friendship for your airline . Well done. I like it.
Hit_Sqd_Maximus 0 Posted January 6, 2004 Yes that's the old one I'm talking about that doesn't turn when flying and that crashes into mountains... that is unless they have a new one that they haven't released yet. Â If so, I sure hope they release it soon.If not I guess for now, mission makers will just have to work around the old version. Â But if indeed Martin is working on a WWII version of this beautiful DC-3 addon then that is very exciting news. Â Chris G. aka-Miles Teg<GD> Yea, they have a new one, but I dont know when it will be released.

Well, at least we should be able to use MSFS 2004 repaints, it wouldnt require very much editing.
miles teg 1 Posted January 6, 2004 Excellent addon, Martin. Looks like I need to finish the F27 Friendship for your airline . Well done. I like it. Ah... I almost forgot about that one. Â I always wondered what had become of that F27 addon! Â I do hope you finish that one up because it was quite beautiful from the pics. Â It indeed would make for an excellent companion to Martin's DC-3. Â I think that's also the same plane I used to fly in going between Yogyakarta and Jakarta Indonesia when I used to live there. Â It was flown by Merpati Airlines. Good memories... well except for the time someone had some live chickens on the plane (I sh*t you not). r1c0cH3T 0 Posted January 6, 2004 Interior of C-47 Martin did mention that he ripped FS2004 textures clearly on his site. He took it off though, to make way for new pics. and news.

Harnu 0 Posted January 6, 2004 Been playing around with it. Maybe you should remove the passengers ejection seats Wanted to get a screenshot of some people doing a jump and it somewhat looking out the door. But then they all flew right out the top.

Peanut 0 Posted January 6, 2004 First: great plane, I really like it. second, some things need to be improved I think -you can't shoot the passangers when you're walking through the plane -wheels don't spin on the ground, or atleast I havn't noticed This is mostly nitpicking, so great job Martin and keep on going with your nice addons
