KJAM 0 Posted January 27, 2004 Quote[/b] ]Whats helicopter is this? Just took it quite quickly while at lands end. That could possibly be a Westland lynx.......it sure does have the shape of it, if not prol a AH- whatever they sometimes fly over my college (which is incidentally built on the top af a munitions factory)
Bordoy 0 Posted January 27, 2004 First pics alright but second one is pixeled.
KJAM 0 Posted January 27, 2004 yeah the second one is badly pixelated that why i cant say for sure, but to me it does look like a Westalnd Lynx
the_shadow 0 Posted January 29, 2004 I'm thinking about buying a digital camera, a bit interested in HP Photosmart 320, which costs between 110 and 170 euros.[ig]http://i.pricerunner.com/img/u2/8/7/7/106869s.jpg[/img] Anyone tried this camera? The reviews make me think it's a pretty cheap digital camera for people that don't need expensive extra features. that´s the exact camera i use.... works fine, takes good pics but nothing fansy... movieclips without sound, energy effective (doesnt eat batteries) but i´ll thinking about buying a new cam... but i recomend it... just look at my pics

Somehow it was a little cheaper, and a little better.
Konyak-2 0 Posted January 29, 2004 Some I took recently.  All unedited, except one, take a wild guess as to which one  The one of the shuttle is correct scale in relation to traffic, as there were some vans driving along behind it on the original pic. Puts it into perspective. Plan to do more of those. Konyak

crashdome 3 Posted February 7, 2004 This was usual summer activity at my mother's old place. What's in that trough the bear is rummaging through? Reminds me when we were once in a lake cabin and the neighbors suggested that we don't take the trash out at night. No lack of paw prints near the bins. It is deer feed I believe. To attract deer closer to a home I suppose. As you can see it works on more than deer. You must also understand that their house was completely surrounded by forest for several miles. I bought an Olympus C-720 Ultra Zoom (8xOptical 3xDigital) which isn't all that great but to show importance of optical zoom: Indianapolis Motor Speedway Formula 1 Race This is the view from my seat in the stands... please note the turn located in the exact center of pic This is with straight optical zoom This includes digital zoom (note the grain-like texture from digital zoom) This is some more pics This was the fly over pre-race Also, these pictures were reduced by half and compressed 15% from originals. Tovarish 0 Posted February 7, 2004 Just splurged on a 3.3 megapixel digital camera I saw on sale at futureshop. Vivitar Vivicam 3720: Apparently this model's only available in Canada. It's not even on Vivitar's webpage . Anyhow it seems really nice so far, except for somewhat slow autofocus, no optical zoom, and it EATS batteries....I have a set of rechargable Alkalines that won't even turn it on . But they work fine on my CD player. Guess I'll have to get some Nickel Cadium's for it. The photo quality however is great, and it even takes short films with sound, but I haven't had time to do much with it. Here's my cat looking pissed at the fact I'm taking it's pic instead of feeding him: When I have time (and batteries) I plan on taking some good shots of the Parliament buildings downtown, and I think there should be some ice sculptures on display around this time as well
