But the green/yellow elements are confusing me, nonetheless very nice pictures everyone... A good optical zoom is one of those "must have" features if you want to take good photos whenever you want (forget digital zoom). The digital zoom merely "blows up" the image and crops in on the part you see on the LCD, reducing the resolution. So if you're looking to capture high-resolution images from a distance, make sure you pay closer attention to the size of the optical zoom rather than the digital or total digital + optical zoom. KJAM 0 Posted January 27, 2004 its really depends on the camera, i got a Canon A-80 with 3x optixcal and 11x digital zoom, pretty damn good quality too though i qouldnt use the DZ for any real professional work unless i wanted a sorta grainy affect (canon A-80 = Å275 work it out yourself lol) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
turms 0 Posted January 27, 2004 I have the a80 also, and im very satisfied. This camera has options for begginner to professional, and thats why i like it, you have to learn how it works.
