And I often think about how good the water looks. biggrin_o.gif

Ditto, comparing the appearance of RL to OFP. Well me and a buddy used to spend hours at my place just playing looong missions... so one winter day we come outside, and realize WTH everything is so blurred tounge_o.gif we could not figure out if it was fog or us, and I just look at some house across the street and say "Hey look it's Haloween!!" , well my friend nearly passed out laughing, seems like it really was too much. We lost track of the real world. Or my buddy walks around my place in the dark as we are about to leave, and i have this chair with sheep skin on it, so he sees that in the corner of his eye and freaks out, thinking it's some freaky animal for a bit. LMAO! he was scared because he was unarmed... Yeh, too much 3D gaming.

We'd go into the forests hiking or whatever, and all I could talk about is how OFP compares. crazy_o.gif Well this was over 2 years ago now I think.

or have you ever said this to a traffic cop: "yes right there, I live about 300m NW of here", after he buggs you too long about your address? I did... he nearly exploded, saying he doesn't have a compass. biggrin_o.gif not my fault

Or ever exclaim "Roger That" to a professor at school? Yep done that too... too much in the spirit of combat I guess.

Oh yeah, and when some people keep screwing up something that has to be done as a team, I can start yelling "LETS GO, MOVE IT!" ok, well maybe that's just me

Don't know if any of those are funny, but they are true stories.

been there, done that...

My lecturers have gotten used to it now tho, which I think is even MORE worrying... I can sit and have a good chat about strategies with my electronics teacher... scary stuff...

hehe Today in histrory class:

I was sitting there with a friend and we were looking at the european map of 1815. But I couldn't just sit there... I took the book and searched for the maps of the Ionic and the Adriatic Sea to show him where you can find Malden and Everon! tounge_o.gif

Then I continued searching, but Tenerriffa was too small to show him the big volcano in the middle of Kolgujev... biggrin_o.gif

Kind of worrying, don't you think? crazy_o.gif

But have you ever said out loud "el-oh-el" when someone told you a funny joke???

not yet but im often tempted.

Well, the paintball game i went to turned into OFP in my mind lol, i yelled stuff like "6 is down", "Formation LINE" oh and one time i did a ramboish sprint from cover to get closer tot he enemy i thought "no way would i get away with that in OFP"

wouldnt it be a blast if all us OFPers could have a BIG game of paintball (IRL obviously not the stupid mp maps), hell it would turn into OFP i think biggrin_o.gif

Hehe, reminds me of my airsoft games. When a person I got hit I would mutter "Oh no, 4 is down!" and so on. When told to goto a flag I would say "ALL move to Hotel Echo 34!"

While patrolling a road, I told everyone to form a staggard column, they looked at me with this confused look. I said "Anyone play OFP?" Followed by more confused looks, I had to spend about 5 minutes showing them how to do it, had to herd them like sheep. biggrin_o.gif

My favorite is "Pulling a CS", we bunny-hop to our objective. tounge_o.gif

You know God came up with some nice textures, but he doesn't have a lens flare on the sun, which would have been nice. The trees are great.....have you seen how they move in the wind? But the gameplay sucks IMO  wink_o.gif  biggrin_o.gif

LOL - good one!

I've dreamt about OFP a couple of times ... but boring things, like running up a mountain ... I remember the viewdistance was really small for some reason ...

Just the other night I dreamt I sniped off two ruskies running into a forest.

Last week, in a futile attempt to have a live outside of OFP (right!), i went to a club with some friends of mine, one of them a fellow OFP gamer. Across the room there was this gorgeous chick. Pointed her out to the friend, exclaiming "11 o'clock, gorgeous chick, 50" He replied with "Look at the polycount on that one!"And went over to her while saying "2, engaging!"

Hopeless....

No PB? Why not? I haven't tried Airsoft, but have heard that it doesn't hurt as much. Pffffffttt.

When the adrenalines pumping, you need a hard hit to realise you've been shot. And it diciplines you well. Because you don't want to be shot. Not because you wanna stay in the game, but because you know you'll get a bruise (or a scar!) out of it!  tounge_o.gif

I was talking with someone today about burning palm trees (long story...alcohol involved)....and all I could think about is the drop array I would need to simulate it. tounge_o.gif

Doesn't hurt enough?

This guy was lucky it didn't get him in the eye, I have seen worst, and I managed to get a bloody arm after being hit at close quarters about 5 times.

Ouchies

I feel naked without a firearm of some sort in close reach.

While hunting, I find myself crouching and checking every direction everytime I stop.

Really.

With the average IQ of hunters in my area being what it is (and the fact that I know many of them personally), that isn't necessarily such a bad idea.

On my holiday with a good friend in the Czech Republic, the busstops (which are identical to OFP's) repeatedly reminded me of OFP unconciously. While looking at the beautiful trees I made a remark they had a large resolution.

I sometimes wonder how much lag is generated by the amount of people in a large city tounge_o.gif .

Not much... I mean, Earth is a big damn island. Much bigger than what you see in OFP. So I don't think one city has much of an effect. I wonder what kind of a server it's running. rock.gif
