miles teg 1 Posted October 22, 2003 Oh.... one other thing I should mention.... is it possible to adjust the accuracy of the RPG-7's to make them a little more inaccurate. In real life they hit their targets probably only 30% of the time depending on the skill level of the RPG gunner and the distance at which the rocket is fired. theavonlady 2 Posted October 22, 2003 Someone who knows how to fix this?Cannot load mission missing addon opfor.pbo Known bug. Does it just stop you from view an intro cutscene or is there a mission you can't play at all?
m21man 0 Posted October 22, 2003 A good quick fix is to use mod folders. Among the many mod folders I have, I have a "BAS_Isle" and a "BAS_Units" folder. Now create a seperate shortcut that only uses these two mod folders, and if you want to play a regular OFP mission, just launch the unaltered 1.94 .
Angantyr 0 Posted October 22, 2003 Hi, I found some more bugs : 1.The "bridge" west of the camp at Bb 27 is placed too high. 2.One of the trees of the object jungle (green boxes in editor) has a displaced geometry LOD -> You can walk and shoot through it but when you shoot/walk next to it at one specific side you and your bullets are stopped. If yes an interim fix is given by killswitch at page 28 of this tread. for the next official fix from bas (DeadMeatXM2) Quote[/b] ]Ah, yeah, my bad...Sorry bout that, its another patch (still on internal beta) thats got those fixes. I do apologise, things get a wee bit confusing with soo many betas and bug reports flying round... has anybody made that interm fix ? and could ya cough up the file needed
benu 1 Posted October 23, 2003 Until releases an official fix you can download an unofficial one with ofp watch from ldd server. It's in a single zipfile and is about 3kb.
Nagual 0 Posted October 23, 2003 Embassy, best bet would be something like clinks embassy, which i was also looking forward too. Other than that the big building in the city should could be ok for embassy missions when its finished, that model is barely even started in the public version. Thanks for the feedback Imshi-Yallah and cornhelium.

bucket man 2 Posted October 23, 2003 Wouldnt UH1 Huey be better for Tonal air force since Tonal government is supported by west? Right now all of their vehicles are Russian. I still like Mi-8 but it would be logical if they had more British or American equipment.

If you go to the BAS site and read the background Nag and I put together, then you'll know why there is a mix of east and west equipment. <edit> but yes, a huey in Gov colors would be nice, along with any number of vehicles and Aircraft. We put a LOT of hours into making the history of the island and the people, and I bet maybe 5% of users ever read it :/ http://www.ballistic-studios.com/tonal.asp http://www.ballistic-studios.com/opfor.asp
Angantyr 0 Posted October 23, 2003 One information about the Geometry LOD bug I found (view my last post). The jungle object is called "baspalmgrove.p3d". --- I found another bug: One tree(small one with just a few leaves, looks a bit like a Y) of the object basjungle.p3d is on some places floating. Maybe you should put it a bit down.

ebud 18 Posted October 23, 2003 It's actually a mix of about 3-4 countries histories all rolled into one. Parts from here, stats from there. Whatever we read that seemed to fit was edited and incorporated into the Tonal history.
Imshi-Yallah 0 Posted October 23, 2003 Its a very good background indeed, I like the way you've worked the tie ins, it allows for a lot of other mods to be used in conjunction with the opfor pack. I wonder will the rebels ever get a powerful backer and form a better armed mini state, hmmm Mig-17 eh?

It would be a shame if it was only geared toward a certain country. I'd love to see what people can make with it all in conjunction with other addon sets like the Canadian addons and their UN units, the French addons, etc. There are infinite possibilities for missions and campaigns here. bucket man 2 Posted October 23, 2003 I read that backround and liked it very much. It gives good bossibilities for missions and it gives feeling that this place I am fighting in is a real country. I also noticed explanation for why there is all that russian equipment but still not a single vehicle from west. Retextured version of Huey from Nampack 2 would be great or retextured Skyraider mentioned earlier.

Heatseeker 0 Posted October 24, 2003 This pack is definetly what fans of the original opf should get , its amazing new island and units plus all the new vegetation and buildings and ofcourse the beautyfull and imersive/inspirational music really expand the universe of this incredible game. Not only the African theme is by itself very interesting but the possibilities of expanding/creating diferent conflicts using other addons really make this pack a must have for all flashpointers. Ive read all the info about the Tonal and opfor history on BAS site before i got it and it inspired and increased my interest about it alot. Was also a bit afraid about all the performance issues posted but considering the huge size of this breathtaking new "world" i was pleasantly surprised that it ran pretty well. Thank you very much for sharing all these amazing things with the rest of us .
Harkonin 0 Posted October 24, 2003 Anyone know why, and how to fix the OPFOR incompatibility with UCE? We run several servers and on them all we can no longer use UCE addon maps since we've uploaded The Tonal stuff. Generally what will happen is well load the map and after Receiving it kicks up back to setup with cannot load mission missing addon OPFOR. Help would be appreciated since I'm not inclined to get rid of either addon if a solution can be found.

This problem has popped up a lot lately in this thread, but here it goes again, phrased in yet another way so as to possibly help people recognize it: the "Cannot load mission - missing addon bas_opfor" problem can be fixed by editing the config.cpp of the bas_opcpp.pbo the way I describe in my post on page 28 of this thread. Its an addon dependency problem. (You may want to browse page 52 too, where it is also mentioned) Note: BAS are aware of it, so there's no need to bother them with that problem anymore. Await their fix or DIY in the meantime. Note, however, that the UCE units are, if I remember them correctly, pre-resistance units and therefore also part of the problem in that they are somewhat lacking in the "config strictness" department, so you might still experience problems after fixing the OPFORs.  You might want to consider replacing UCE:s units with the reconfigured-for-Resistance variants by SDOC. See SDOC-UCE units
