Skul 0 Posted September 4, 2003 @ Sep. 04 2003,16:05)]high school Speaking of high school...... Yesterday was my first day of high school and there was a assembly. In the middle of the assembly, I was bored and started thinking of OFP. I started to laugh loudly when I was thinking of Skul's teh crappy mishun. (This is what I couldnt stop laughing at: Armstring Armstring!!!!111 We need to 2 kil peples bcus yu now how 2 kil gud.) Â Â The mission's so crap, it affects you outside of OFP!? By God... what have I created...!? Â Well, as for my story... OFP gets me into trouble in college (if I'm caught ). I keep browsing these forums to keep me from dying of boredom (it's my second year there... a lot of stuff I've done before, even though it's a different course to last year's!) And what's more... I can't seem to log in on the college computers, so if there's a juicy piece of mission editing stuff, I have to wait until I get home to save it to my hard drive! But at least college is better than school... half days... days off... DURING THE WEEK!!! Â Â Anyhoo... that's all... [Gareth Gates must die]

ThruYerStErNuM 0 Posted September 4, 2003 Theres something esle that we have to be careful about. I often dream about various OFP scenarios, and in them I always have a useful combat knife. Since dreams are far more immersive than a computer game, I naturaly find myself talking about them to other people. BE CAREFUL who you talk about slitting soviet throats to. Some people might think you need help and tell certain other people who may or may not try to use force to 'help' you. Do we have a combat knife addon? Poet 0 Posted September 5, 2003 Never got into any trouble, but it has encroached on Real Life on more than one occassion. Once I was walking through Leeds city centre, and saw a Black-Op Chinook flying low overhead. For the briefest second I reached for my non-existant AK47 and started looking around for something to hide behind. I must have looked very odd to any onlookers... Another time I was playing CTi with my mate and what must have been 2 very low flying jets blasted over my house. For a second or two I actually believed that the enemy had found my location and fired cruise missiles at me. I honestly believed the end was nigh ... pretty damned scary. It should be noted that I was under the influence at the time ...

toadlife 3 Posted September 5, 2003 OFP has dragged me kicking and screaming into the world of programming. Learning OFP scripting, finally conviced me to invetigate other "real" programming laguages, and consequently I have been able to save the organization I work for tons of money by doing things that are out of my job decription, and normally outsourced. In a year or so, when I move up to a higher position at my job, and make tons more money, I will have OFP to thank. Trouble? Oh yeah my wife yells at me alot for being on the computer. sanctuary 19 Posted September 5, 2003 I think one day a game CD case fell on my foot , but that 's all i can remember about trouble due to video games. I didnt liked this game too , probably why its CD case had some grudges against me

Jamesia 0 Posted September 5, 2003 YES OFP HAS GOTTEN ME INTO TROUBLE! I was playing operation flashpoint and i decided how beautiful the outside world was, with its trees and rolling hills. SO I looked on a website and discovered that there is a place outside of my house called the 'countryside' so I decided to go and see what this was all about to see if it was as good as it is in operation flashpoint. So anyway I went outside and immediatly the SUN STARTED HURTING ME! evil sun! it doesnt do that in flashpoint! SO i was 'walking' (thats the term for putting one leg infront of the other and shifting wieght apparently) through a field and then there was this brown stuff on the floor called 'mud' and I sank in it! So I thought to myself that this doesnt happen in operation flashpoint so I had no idea of what to do so I screamed as loud as i could: 'where are you?' but no voice answered me! In the end someone looking like civlian man 2 pulled me out of this evil mud. After my adventure I dont think I will ever explore 'outside' again! Damn you OFP for making the outside look so beautiful when it is in fact a horrible place full of nature which tries to kill you!
Cpt. Bazikian-5thSFG- 0 Posted September 6, 2003 ROFL..... The only trouble OFP has given me is a few holes in my grades in high school...

VMF124 Foxtrot 0 Posted September 6, 2003 Doesn't really get me in real trouble, because my computer and internet connection sucks, I don't get as hooked on it as others might. But sometimes I will yell "Yo, Mom! Buy me a new computer!" when a mission is really laggy. The response I get is "I told you 5 minutes ago, NO!" Then later I would be cruisn' around in a chopper in Flight Sim 2k4, and my mom whould walk by. Then I'd be all "Hey doesn't this game look cool?" "Yes 'FOXTROT' its nice" "Then just imagine how cool it would look on a new computer! Not only this but other games like *Operation Flashpoint* would aslo be way faster and cooler." "Then save your money" "But that takes too long, I want it now!" Then in a few minutes I would get bored and get my dirtbike out of the garage only to nearly wipe out taking a jump thinking about how cool it would be if I could do the same thing in OFP 2, Even though my dirtbike isn't more then 40ft away from the computer . Anyways, I think I'll stop now before I go on forever.
Jester983 0 Posted September 6, 2003 hmmm i cant really say that ofp has gotten me into trouble. Just caused frustrations with MP sometimes. So i guess im trouble free.... *senses that this will come back and bite him in the butt sooner or later*
Jamesia 0 Posted September 6, 2003 Lol, you guys have some quite serious problems there. Sometimes I confuse OFP with real life, like you know, innocent things really, like when you are walking through the hills with an M16 in my hand sometimes I blow off some ramblers head.
