VMF124 Foxtrot

I have a proplem, certain soldiers in this pack are causing XP to restart . For some of them it does it as soon as I hit preview and others do it when I pull out a pistol. I originally thought it was a JAM issue, but after reinstalling JAM2 it still didn't go away. It happen with both HD and normal. For example the Desert Delta Fire Team Leader HD will do this when I hit preview, and the non-HD one crashes when I try to use a pistol, and does the Operator. Every time it happened I was on the Desert Island, alone, with only the BAS mod folder loaded. This was not an issue with v1.0 pack. Anyone? EDIT: I just tryed flying the new Pavehawk (first time after D/R 1.5 install) and when I got out of my chopper it caused XP to restart again! This is some kind of conflict issue I'm having I bet. I'm gonna try reinstalling all of my bas addons and a few other things, to make sure everything is at the right version.

Overall this is a good solid addon. But I did notice when you are the gunner in the BRDM and you get killed you stay in the turret as if you were still alive (hoping this was'nt posted before). Instead of falling inside the vehicle as per the Tonal one. As if the animations are missing. Looking forward to the rest of BAS Week...

I'd have to say that I am too, even though I have dialup and a slow 500Mhz pro. It truly isn't worth the effort when one MB take 5 mins to dl and i cant play any decent missions! But I cant stop. And the worst part is, I'm not only hooked on OFP addons but, Flight Simulator and Orbitor addons too. So where do I sign up for the club? Or the support group?

Odd... Maybe this has something to do with it... AMD 500Mhz 256MB RAM 128MB ATI Radeon 8500 Windows XP 20GB HD Parts Missmach! How did you manage that drewb? I thought I had the worst PC on the planet.

Doesn't really get me in real trouble, because my computer and internet connection sucks, I don't get as hooked on it as others might. But sometimes I will yell "Yo, Mom! Buy me a new computer!" when a mission is really laggy. The response I get is "I told you 5 minutes ago, NO!" Then later I would be cruisn' around in a chopper in Flight Sim 2k4, and my mom whould walk by. Then I'd be all "Hey doesn't this game look cool?" "Yes 'FOXTROT' its nice" "Then just imagine how cool it would look on a new computer! Not only this but other games like *Operation Flashpoint* would aslo be way faster and cooler." "Then save your money" "But that takes too long, I want it now!" Then in a few minutes I would get bored and get my dirtbike out of the garage only to nearly wipe out taking a jump thinking about how cool it would be if I could do the same thing in OFP 2, Even though my dirtbike isn't more then 40ft away from the computer . Anyways, I think I'll stop now before I go on forever.

I wouldn't say that you are meaningless here, or anywhere for that matter. I'm problaby closer to it, just look at how many posts I'v made compared to how long I'v been here! I'm quiet here, and in real life too. I don't let either one get me down and neither should you. I just enjoy reading posts here enough when I'm bored, no need to go picking a fight with anyone as some people (being 16 I should be one of them ) do and when an opertunity (such as this one) comes along I make myself heard in a possitive way. What if the time machine were invented as a result of a war? If there was no war how could it exist? What about all the other things invented because of war? We would be back in the stone age and everyone saved would die as a result of them suddenly not having anything to use to survive. The closest thing we had to a time machine was the Concorde, because it moved faster than the earth rotated you could arrive at your destination before the time you left. Due to the time differences on the other side of the world. I don't think its possible to get anything closer to a true time machine. Does anyone have any far out theorys on how it could work?

Upping the realism whould annoy those as said before who think they beat anyone at anything, but for people like me, realism = fun. I would like to be able to use my expirience from Flight Simulator and the REAL WORLD to be put to real use in MP games or vice versa. Isn't that what sims are all about? When I played Combat Flight Simulator 2 with my squad (VMF124) we were considered the best of the best. But, when I go into, say a BF1942 game with the same planes as I had used in the good old days, I find things very, very different. I try and use realistic flying tactics only to find that they are almost completely useless. Dogfights in that game are mainly you and your foe flying in circles intill you crash into each other head on or one "pilot" gets bored and breaks out only to get shot down by the other. And nothing in that game requires any real relevent skills, in fact, having those skills is a liability when you find everyone else can do the same thing. And things are the same in OFP, only it takes place over longer distances. If I'm going to buy OFP2 I'm going to need to see a lot of Improvments over the origanal, esspecially to the vehicles (along with a new computer ).

Even when they do release it I have a good 4 or 5 hours of downloading to do before I can acullay use it. So even if it is only 3:10 PM here in British Columbia I won't be using it for a long time...

Its hard to get Newfies to like this game, cause most of 'em are just like hippies except they live on an island... and fish all the time. I guess OFP wouldn't intrest such a odd group of people. Unless there was a fishing mod of course.

Uhh.. The empty option is only available after you have placed a player unit. If thats not the problem, I think your bad luck streak may never recover...
