What militaria do you own?

yeah, it's a model for a paintball fireing rifle. I made it a little unrealistic becuase it's got a belt feed and a silencer (which, like everything else, is detatachable) which in real life would melt in full auto.

It's meant to show how one weapon can be the basis for a series, the model i made can be split into a rifle, machine-gun, sniper rifle, silenced sniper rifle, silenced assualt rifle, scoped machinegun..

Basically it's an idea. Oh, by the way Goob, 6kg (at least i think it's 6kg) of MDF and metal rarely looks paper-macheish  

I'm not happy with the model, the feed inlet is too small to take 'live' (as in cartridges with dummy tips) rounds and the entire body is too basic and lacks detail. I'm currently re-doing a lot of it, including putting the laser sight on the scope, changing the scope mount, the addition of front and rear iron sights. The weapon is meant to be a look-a-like of the MSG90. It is FAR too wide, I totally got dimensions wrong. Currently considering putting a skeleton stock on it made from dowl.. but i'm not sure

These (PNV-57) go for $1500-$2000, when they do not work (apparently). I got it for $75. Then again, I think that the $1500 price only applies to this:

Here's a ZSh-7AP with the Night Vision Goggles attached in lieu of the Sh-3-UM1 Target Designator.  This is a fairly light setup, unlike the NVG's for tanks and other armored crewmen (the PNV-57 which weighs about 10 pounds).  What do these go for?  If you were able to find them, they would cost about $2000, maybe $1500 for a non-working set.  ouch...  However, the reason you don't see these readily available is that they are considered part of the aircraft for accountability in the Russian Air Force and not part of the helmet or the pilot's equipment.  It's easy for someone to walk off with a helmet, but it's not so easy to go south with a whole airplane.

The 24v system will allow you to put some fancy things in, but the overall life span of the wireing will be slightly less than a 12V system. However, this is not usually noticable to the average driver.

The 24v system is because it's an ex-RAF radio truck, v handy for fitting powerful spots and winches, but a royal pain in the ass for spares....

got bored so I did that.

And if you're thinking it doesnt look so hard to do, the bloke in the commands hatch is the size of your thumbnail (now think about him relative to the size of the rest of the tank..)

and further more: that paintbrush in one of the pictures lying next to it is the absolute smallest I have. I was thinking about getting a magnifing glass just to see where the damn brush was going

As i live in a country where any gun above 6.35 cal. is highly illegal i tend not no divulge i own a Model 59 Makarov my father brought from the colonial war in Angola, i have it well oiled and stored away. But loads of soldiers brought souvenirs from Africa (my uncle has an AK47).

The only firearm i have at home is a self defense german made FN Browning 6.35 cal. aka babybrowning which i came into my possession a few years ago in a barfight (needless to say, I worked in that bar). But its the most crappy gun ive ever shot....6.35 sucks big time

Just bought a used LAW Rocket Tube... $30 well spent IMO, and once I find the projectile it fires (although still probably not work, because they are 'shoot once, discard' launchers) I will see if I can fire it..

It would be cool to see what kind of stuff BIS has. I heard that one of the developers has an RPG (a real one) - the one in OFP (RPG nH-75)

I went to an army disposals shop today to get some boots (Swiss army ones, excellant buy at $30NZ) but of course I had to pick up a few other items.

Got at a British Target Figure11 for a good price of $14.95

and two imitation of what I believe to be 5.56mm rounds.

Plenty of other good items to buy, but I do have some self control so I left before I could go crazy.
