DarkLight 0 Posted December 6, 2003 One of my friends has a lot of WWI and WWII stuff, he has medals, guns, bullets, helmets, clothes, bajonets (if that's the right word in english), and a lot more.  He spends a lot of his money on this stuff.  Here in Belgium you can buy pretty much everything, i can buy Thompsons, M1s, Bazookas, LAWS, .50 callibres (you know those pretty fucking big machineguns), grenades, helmets, medals, clothes, scopes, and A LOT more. Hell i once even saw a M16 for sale, it had one of those laser things on it.  And most of it doesn't cost that much...  I was able to buy a beautiful scope used by a German sniper during WWII for only €10!  The scope could zoom from x2 to x7, it was a beautiful thing.  I still think it's stupid that i never bought it... You can buy this stuff here on markets, all they sell there is WWII stuff... Oh well, i have some helmets, a lot of bullets (some big shells too, they're about 50 - 80cm i think, i have smaller ones and bigger ones), an american grenade and some clothes of WWII.  It's somewhere in a box in my room, dunno where.  I don't really collect this kinda stuff anymore.  The only thing that i will never sell of my whole collection is a bullet that i found somewhere on the beach.  I was walking on the beach and all of a sudden i saw it lying there, it's full of rust and there's pieces of stone stuck to it and that's exactly what i like about it.  It's not the shiny metal of a bullet that has never been fired, it's the old rusted metal of a bullet that HAS been fired The fact that i found it there on the beach where once men fought and died... that's the only reason why i keep it.  Because i know for sure that this bullet has been fired by one of those men... don't care if it was an enemy soldier or an allied soldier... both deserve respect... DKM Jaguar 0 Posted December 6, 2003 Interresting stuff people have got. I'm currently thinking about getting some new stuff (and I'm not on about dummy ammo) My income seems to be equal to the defence budget of a small country.. Anyhoow, may post pictures soon. http://dcol4.tripod.com/....213.gif

Col. Kurtz 0 Posted December 9, 2003 Not a bad collection at all... Seems they guy has a bit of a fetish with shells and rocket/missile launchers. We should find out where he keeps his stash and make off with it. Denoir can have the Swedish flag.

Smartti 1 Posted December 9, 2003 Hmm... I don't remember all but here's something. Different shells: 12.7mm and big plastic bag of 7.62mm and 9mm. Some rounds of 7.62mm training ammo. .357 and .44 bullets. One deactivated (or look-a-like) US style frag grenade. And some older (WWI & WWII) stuff like: Letters from WWII prison camps: both axis and allied ones. Piece of Junkers Ju-52's wing structure. Piece of Bristol Blenheim's chassis. Baron von Beer 0 Posted December 9, 2003 Well, one of the 2 SAMs has "Dummy" printed on it. Imagine it was a, well, dummy, made either for display, or training purposes. You can find deactivated weapons like that pretty easily. If they are real, well, a man has a right to protect his home. He just happens to be worried about heavy armor and ground attack aircraft, rather than the run of the mill burglar. (Or even the not so run of the mill armed to the teeth burglar that a good civilianized assault rifle can drop) Sure, you think he's paranoid, but just wait till that T80 shows up in YOUR front yard... you'll be thinking, damnit, I knew I should have bought that all inclusive home defence system from the Arms Bazzare last summer... Came with a TOW II launcher with 8 missiles, 48 Claymores, 500' of concertina wire, and 12 phoogas drums w/ detonators...all for just 12 easy payments of $1999.99 *sigh*, live and learn... If there's one thing I've learned from OFP, it's to fire an RPG at a person you're trying to get rid of, especially if you'll have 2 more remaining.
Judge Rabbi 0 Posted December 9, 2003 The only thing I own thats slightly connected with military stuff is a British chieftain tank model. Man, I love that model. (Stares at his mini tank.)
Postduifje 0 Posted December 9, 2003 I have a nice plastic helmet with camouflage stuff on it, just like real military deskjob employees use. Besides that, my pencil shoots AT rockets if I close my eyes a bit and think real hard
