and to remind everyone im still running ECP, and GMR together

I got it to work too, thanks to your detailed instructions. I just followed them and now I have both running. There are some things not working like smoke/flame from damaged (not destroyed) choppers, etc.. but I know for sure that there are elemnts from both mods working smile_o.gif

yes unfortunitly there are a few minor "losses" when using both. liek the AT backblast doesnt seem to hurt the AI when i tested it. but other then that. they seems to work well together. like a brother and sister config type family with GM and the ECP team as thier mother and father biggrin_o.gif

i downloaded the .wss format or whatever it is but I don't know where to find the "new DR sounds" that goldmember refers to.

Also, I just tried 1.48 DR+blood and there appear to be various sounds missing. Grenade and TOW missile explosions, as well as some (but not others bizarrely rock.gif) bullet hitting ground effects were all silent. Can anyone verify this for me?

I implemented GMR mod into the "updated dynamicrange.cpp" file. For this not enough to use just dynamicrange.pbo, need ECP_DR_extra_sound.pbo too (which is in ECPbeta.zip). Maybe this couse missing sound probleam?

One question: why on earth did you change the rocket trajectory parameters back to how they were in OFP 1.00? Feeling nostalgic for the good old days? unclesam.gif

hey goldmember have i got a challenge for you! i was playing a round with the explosions and just for kicks i put the bas mist i found under the gamelogic object in my directory under the exploding tanks and wow it actually looked like the gound was being scorch by the infurnal i forgot that this effect autally exist it is whats missing from the effects i cant get over the look of it it looks like something has really exploded can you implament this you are going to love it!! biggrin_o.gif

goldmember did you catch my post on the topic of scorching groung effect i give the impresion that the fire is really hot what do you think about this effect??? wink_o.gif

Ok guys i wasnt paying attention here for a few days and now it seems all hell broke lose with DR GMR and ECP... biggrin_o.gif

Now i am confused as anyhting can any of you super blokes here point out the d/lds i will need to bring myself uptodate as i am TOO CONFUSED as to what to get and what not to rock.gif???

It will be very appreciated , i need the latest GMR with INQ and DR plus BLOOD.. smile_o.gif ,and has anyone got a working link for the new DR which will i need as i never had i before and it sounds as if it might be good (pun intended tounge_o.gif ) ....

yay! after failing miserably in converting .ogg into .wav and then into .wss to substitute the strange AK and M16 sounds of new DR i went the easy way, i copied some excellent JAM2 sounds,renamed them and shazzam! Now im happy smile_o.gif

edit: golmember can u plz post or pm me a quick fix to turn the LAW's\RPG's normal again? Im a realism freak crazy_o.gif

is there a simple blood to 1.48 Bin or is  the new ecp blood built in already ?

i tried to make my own(:EDIT: for 1.47 ) by copy n pasting bits from an old config.cpp into new one but it completely monged  my game out ( said summit like cannot load userGUI ) maybe i didn't make a bin correctly cos there aint much to add to config for blood support

I uploaded to briefcase bin's you need and Charlis [=FAB=] too.

Can anyone tell me why I would get the message "Script \GMR\ECP_Effects\init.sqs not found" at startup and at the start of every mission? I am running the DR-INQ-Blood config with the updated DR files and I can't see what files I may be missing.

I may be completely wrong but seems that you´re using A config.bin with ecp suport but didn´t loaded the dta briefcase and the other stuf, if you want ECP try doing as Pappy Boyington said 4 posts above.

I just did with one of the lasts .bin GM released, Blood+DN+ECP and all seems working perfect.

i hope you dont have to speed them up again to do this cos they look great slowed down (i could not hit owt wiv em cos i aimed high to compensate for drop in height and they stayed high :o )

i think he means so the ground around the blown up tank has a smouldering \ steaming patch around it after blowing up like the earth is very hot

hey goldmember after an explosion the ground is rather hot and an inferno gives off extreme heat yet there is no effect to the ground that show this level of detail currently in ofp  if you implement the mist (witch looks like smoke and vapor gases during the blaze) but maybe contract it some it gives off the impression that the fire is actually really hot, you will see what im talking about just for demonstration place the mist script under a tank and make the tank explode you will see a big difference note the effect under the tank also maybe you can make it where it is only scorching the ground during an inferno  but maybe this effect is a little to realistic after all this is only a game….. right? biggrin_o.gif

You´re talking about ofp so there is no barrier. Get it as realistic as possible !

Now that BAS mist scripts are taken into consideration i fear that this mod will make me buy some upgrades for my pc sooner than i thought tounge_o.gif

Yet i don´t have any lag issues with GMR mod but regarding the fast developement and the neverending flow of good ideas for GM makes me wonder when the first guys come here crying because they have toasted either their CPU or GPU biggrin_o.gif

I would like to see that, sounds good and real to me.

BTW, I'm in the same position as Acecombat, I'm a bit lost( again) with the new improvements in this mod.

See if I get it right...

If I download the latest GMR configurations and the latest GMR.pbo, and allso download the latest version of ECP, I should be able to install it then and I won't need anything ellse, right?

Do I need the DR in full version or just the wss that come with ECP?

Then for my version I will need the files from InQuisitors mod, and... that's it, because the blood is implemented in the ECP mod and I won't need to use the old Blood pbo anymore, do I got it right?

If so I'll just start downloading in a minute.

I still keep OFPEC_Blood.pbo in my GMR modfolder/Addons.

Tim running DR+Blood+ECP as said before. It´s runnig just fine. This is what I got:

I found an incompatabilty with the Explosion Mod and snYpir's SP/MP Support Pack.  Whenever I request support from ground or air vehicles, they either crash or get stuck.  The airplanes refuse to fly, either they act as if they have no fuel, or they try to drive cross-country to my position. Choppers come to within 300 meters of their destination and halt.  Ground vehicles do the same as the choppers, but drive in circles.

As soon as I disable the GMR_Explomod.  It works fine.  It also works fine with ECP.

Any ideas?  I really miss using this mod.  sad_o.gif
