Geocider 0 Posted May 5, 2005 Aww... was the video that booring? Well, well... guess the russophiles gotta find their pleasures elsewhere untill more pics are uploaded by RHS.
DKM Jaguar 0 Posted May 5, 2005 Are there any more bits of video like that? It's weird how they open that door to the street like some level out of HL2 or something.. Sad, terrible conflict.
Gollum1 0 Posted May 5, 2005 Interesting video Geocider. And may I just add that those Mi-24s look bloody amazing.

Geocider 0 Posted May 5, 2005 I could try and make more cuts... the problem is that the program i used for the video was a demo and could bnly make the first 60 seconds (that's why it ends so abruptly)... I had this nice timing and everyting... and now I think I uninstalled them programs because of a wee bit of irritation.
DKM Jaguar 0 Posted May 5, 2005 I would like to see the next part, as it stops just as the BTR meets with another.. I hope the RHS people are not worried we are going off topic..
soul_assassin 1750 Posted May 5, 2005 I would like to see the next part, as it stops just as the BTR meets with another.. I hope the RHS people are not worried we are going off topic.. nope we're too busy working on things that will hopefully bring it back on topic in a few days
mcbean 0 Posted May 5, 2005 i can't download this movie any other mirros?
AKM 0 Posted May 5, 2005 I'd be interested in seeing the entire video, really. As for screenshots, I'll see what I can do.
Shadow NX 1 Posted May 5, 2005 If someone has a place to upload i have both parts... but be aware a lot not very nice stuff is shown there. When i think about it, i guess its against the forum rules to post links to the full vids since they show beheadings and such shizzle...
hellfish6 7 Posted May 5, 2005 I'd like to see the video, so if you still want to upload it you can PM me a link. But yeah, posting it publicly violates the forum rules.
Geocider 0 Posted May 5, 2005 I thought of that when cutting out that part... the thing that happens right after is that they stop by some BTR's and jump off into an assault that goes terribly wrong. The Hinds are afraid to go in because of AA-threats and they don't get neither air support nor smoke screens... The sequence ends with the russians pulling in the dead in a pile. They lose like 10 people or something. You don't see any detailed gross stuff, but the blood drenched clothes are probably more than enough to get me banned if I post it. I could probably upload the whole first part but it would take a while and you would have to PM or mail me if you want it. And even though the worst scene is in the second part, there are a couple of parts that can be found quite disturbing. BTW, I've collected a little pile of photos concidering the russian forces. Anyone know a good place to make a gallery?
hellfish6 7 Posted May 5, 2005 PM Hood at Militaryphotos.net - he can give you a gallery and webspace.
AKM 0 Posted May 6, 2005 Geocider: - War is not pretty. Your constant reminders and descriptions are welcome as a reminder to those who think war can be as surgically clean as OFP renders it. - I'd appreciate a link to the downloads. Quote[/b] ]BTW, I've collected a little pile of photos concidering the russian forces. Anyone know a good place to make a gallery? Hood would likely be amiable to increasing the Russian Forces galleries at MilitaryPhotos.net. I hear the site is actually useable now, since the comments system was removed. I'm a bit too idiot-shell-shocked to go back and check it out for myself.
Geocider 0 Posted May 6, 2005 Thanks for the comments. I've allways tried to get people to understand that war isn't nice at all anywhere else than on a screen, but commentating on militaryphotos can get your hopes down quite fast... It's amazing how many depressingly stupid people can gather on one place. I'll continue to try to upload the documentary, and I'll try to contact Hood and russianarms (some of the photos are theirs and I hope to be able to use them with their permission). PM me if you are interested. With RHS's permission I will post here if I can get a gallery or an upload-place (no direct links, mind you). Cheers to you all, Geocider A bit of On Topic to make the post justified -> I hope ofp-stuff will be somehow compatible with ofp2 so we can use these RHS beauties then too... EDIT: It think I somehow managed to upload the first part after all. PM for link. (Not 100% sure it works though) Seven days only.
sputnik monroe 102 Posted May 6, 2005 Quote[/b] ]but commentating on militaryphotos can get your hopes down quite fast... I've visited that site once or twice also. Each time I left with a bad taste in my mouth. There are some interesting photos over there but I get the impression that their average poster is between 10 and 18 years old. Take it from me, when ever you begin to feel like the off topic forum here is populated by clueless inmature buffoons, just visit militaryphotos and read 4 or 5 random threads. After that you'll see the off topic forum here in a more positive light.
Geocider 0 Posted May 6, 2005 Well age is not the main factor... I hope. I'm only 17 mind you. There are people there with the physical age of a 30 year old but the mental age of a violent 8 year old child. Lot's of good photos there (I allways check for russian ones first) and if you keep away from reading anything you'll quite like it... EDIT: Here is a quite nice batch of pictures of Russian Vityaz. Gorkas and Gorka-s in use. http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=46879

AKM 0 Posted May 6, 2005 Interesting use of the KUKLA pattern. (DPM-looking deal.) Makes a useful reference. Thanks.
Cpt. FrostBite 0 Posted May 6, 2005 I am ones again amazed by the number of patterns the russians use. It must be your secret tactic; confuse the shit out of the enemy so he has no clue what is going on Awesome pics. Thanks for the link
Speed123 0 Posted May 6, 2005 Seems kind of dangerous to me. I would think that having so many different camo patterns could result in friendly-fire incidents. Am I off base here?
