(Can't think of the name off hand, they did vibrations and found emtpy space below the sphinx.  But didn't get the chance to crak it open.<span id='postcolor'>

They have already looked under the floor, if i remember correctly, a huge ship is under the sphinx but it's impossible to get it out, simply because the ship would crumble, it has been lying there for so long.  It's made out of very old wood, these things don't last forever, it might be possible to get the ship out but it'll be very very hard and the chance that it fails is big => and we don't want destruction of unique ancient stuff.

"No as a matter of fact i dont remember reading that... Have you ever actually read the bible?"

The Church at this time interpreted several passages in the Bible as meaning that the Earth stood still. Therefore they were pleased by this model and tried to suppress any competitors. The complexity of the model and its deviation from pure Aristotlelian ideals led some thinkers to attempt a replacement model with the sun at the center of the universe.

Yes The (Catholic) Church interpreted several things that didnt have anything to do whit the bible at all. And it is by the bible i based my opinion about aliens, not by what the Church interpreted!

But didn't the people at that time (before columbus and maggelaen??) thought that the earth was flat? People should note however that the bible is not a book that teaches you where wich star system is or who is orbiting who. It is not a book that tells us something about geographics (well not advanced). It is a book to teach christians how to lead their lives (mainly in the new testament) and how ancient people lived theirs.

Question too mods:

Aren't we going too be offtopice here or is it ok to post some more of this stuff?

Why can't you quote like normal on these boards! It's so much easier to read using the quote feature instead of just quotation marks. Well... Maybe it's just me but ya know...

Jesus didn't come to earth to teach you geography. He came to give you forgiveness. 'nuff said.

He didn't, read FS's post.

@ ran

Dammit you got me all confused here. I've could've swear that people believed that before columbus (or that other dude, maggelaen@#$?) proved otherwise, the earth was flat. confused.gif

They are by people. TLC had a feature where 3 men showed how to make it. THey made a GIGANTIC crop circle in 4 hours.

They are made by nerds who cant get dates. biggrin.gif

I would hope an intelligence with the technology to produce vehicles capable of interstellar travel would also be more rational than to make crop circles. With all the television we beam into space (Including educational programming) I figure it wouldnt be that hard for Space Aliens to figure out that we dont speak Cropcircle, but that we do speak English. biggrin.gif

In my opinion Aliens do exist. Why I hear you ask? Well there is a vast universe out there and there is no way that out of the whole universe we are the only ones here.

Now just because I believe in aliens does not mean that I think they look like something out of the X-Files or Star Trek. Scientifically all an alien has to be is a worm or ant that lives on another planet not some big monsterous slimey thing like out of the movie Alien. But I do belive that there must be aliens out there that are more intelligent or just as intelligent as us.

Now on the subject of Alien Abduction, I just find it hard to believe that an alien would want to abduct a human. Plus the fact have you ever noticed that the people that claim to be abducted are always stupid slak jawed yokles that get paid very little or have no job at all? Now if I was an alien and I was going to abduct a human being I would want to abduct an intelligent human because I could learn more about that human race from someone intelligent. The people who claim to be abducted are just people who want some extra cash and their 15 minutes of fame.

Now a few years back we had reports all over the world of crop circles mysteriously appearing over night in the middle of corn fields. Now I personally did not believe these stories for a second. These crop circles were apparently UFOs had landed. After years of studying these crop circles it has been proven that they were fakes. Made by people who just wanted to whip up some hysteria. Now you may say that this is another government cover up like the contraversial Area 51. I don't think so. If aliens were going round abducting people and landing in corn fields the government would not be able to cover it up as people would notice these objects flying around.

Another thing stupid is when movies have plots that say aliens want to take over earth. Now if these aliens are so intelligent that they have mastered space travel they are bound to be peaceful and why, more to the point, would they want to take over Earth?

So a simple answer, yes I do believe in Aliens, but I don't believe they fly round in UFOs abducting people and making circles in corn fields. If there are aliens out there I am sure they would have better things to do.

Galaxy-of-Education.jpg

This is our galaxy, the "Milky Way", viewed from above.

The Milky Way is a large spiral galaxy containing roughly 100 billion stars disposed in the form of a disk, with several spiral arms coiling around a central bulge.

The diameter of the disk is about 100,000 light years and the Sun is located about 30,000 light years from the Milky Way’s nucleus on the Orion arm, at the center of the little red grid.

This grid delimits a square area of about 1,500x1,500 light years.

Now just look at this perfect spiral, how could there not be planets out there just like Earth?

The truth is out there...

But there is always the chance that there is a race of aliens, not all aliens, that are similar in some way to humans. Many major scientific advancements have been made through war, so maybe aliens space travel advanced through war.

And maybe on a far off planet there is a country called the Onited Statz uf Amevica lead by Plezident Geoarge Buzh who says to be people 'we must go and disarm the planet earth as they are a direct threat to us with their advacned weaponary that can strike anywhere in the universe' while he is really thinking 'mwahahahhaha, I'll take over plant earth, be a hero to me people, and I'll get all those rescources from earth' and so Amevican soldiers march into their UFO's destined for earth.......... wink.gif

Maybe they stopped thinking they were being visited because in the conversion they found something equally stupid to believe in.

As said before, I believe the sheer number of star systems with planets etc makes it almost a certainty that there is life elsewhere in the universe.

Yeah, I got it off Kazaa. Sohuld be 60 megs. It's kind of pathetic, for a few reasons:

The Alien looks like a starved person, except for these features:

-Head about 3 inches larger in diameter

-No genitals (How do they reporduce then?)

-Smaller ears (although they look EXACTLY like a humans)

-Large stomach (What do they eat to get that fat?)

Personally I think it was faked. Even if it wasn't, those aliens must've been pretty stupid to eject at about 2 miles high without anything on them. Plus they are so small and thin if they want to invade, all I have to say is BRING IT ON, FATHEADS! biggrin.gif
