oh58 [WIP] Project Kiowa (OH-58D/F)

G'day all, as it stands I've noticed a lack of love for one of my favourite birds the Kiowa Warrior of course. Due to this i decided to start a project replicating the aircraft for all to enjoy, as it stands its a heavily Work In Progress considering I am only one man and due to life commits (school) i haven't been able to put as much time into it as hoped. besides the fact this will be the place where all my progress is logged.

 

The addon currently will only be focused around the last active duty variant of the 58, the OH 58D with future plans for the F and potentially the older birds A/C models. Currently i don't have much to show besides a cockpit. (forgive me i'm re hauling the exterior model expect progress soon!)

 

Planned Features:

• Interactable cockpit with proper startup procedure.
• Proper weapon simulation (modes, range, etc)
• Shooting  from the air frame
• All available weapons Dependant on  aircraft
• Realistic sounds and rotor effects.
• Custom service menu to swap out Doors, weapons, paint schemes.

FINALLY! Spent a lot of my time wrenching on an ex Vietnam OH-58A. Shame that it's always playing second fiddle to the Hughes 500!

Hey man, take your time. This is the one aircraft that keeps getting mentioned in the forums, but never happens to make it to release. 

 

Please work at your own comfortable pace and please, please let us know if there is ANYTHING we can do to help. I think I speak for everyone when I say "We want this bird!"

Really awesome to see the Kiowa finally getting some love in Arma. Always wanted a high quality kiowa, and when they were retired I feared it would never happen.

Something else dont bring the personal issues into this... just because you got banned from our server due to your stupidity.

 

I also have a very busy life so things happen good try though.

I can appreciate that you would like an update, but asking is against the forum rules and is deemed as spam. Please understand that addon making is a hobby to most, so i am sure the author will post something when there is some news.

Oh i did not know that.

I understand that it is an hobby and that it takes time to create an mod like this.

But im curious and cant wait to fly it. ;-)
