I put it down to the other 4 maps all having grass, trees, and bushes to render. Airfield being almost empty just makes it an overall more smother /  snappier map to play. Not that I have an issue running the game, I am all but maxed out and get from 70-100 fps tho this varies / bounces around a lot but i would put it closer to 100 then 70 across each map. 

 

Increase the map size on clash maps by 50-100% and make it 20v20 :))? #

 

Will we be able to one-day choose a load out that crosses over to every map/mode? really like the spar-16s and wish I could have this as a main weapon. Can already choose an outfit so maybe weapons will come as well.

I heard weapons customisation/skill tree was coming sometime in January?

 

On a side note, I really dislike the announcer volume. I just don't think she fits the game type as a whole, and it's also far too loud for the general gameplay.

today i saw a guy in RAID on the blue defending team being outside the red cage, for the whole duration of the game.

i know one other swa it happen and the guy himself.

i know it is a lack of info and screenshot shy but it did happen please look into it.

 

another thing i noticed was dying on spawn a few times beginnin of the rounds, and maybe worth a test, a cloud and flame body to body shooting randomly not at each other,

i think i got a kill while i did not hit the other but was standing against him while shooting way past him.

 

edit.

 

can we have server identifier in the screen ? this might help with screenshots and problems, bugs, friends who want to join you etc ?

does not have to be big but could be like in lower left or right corner of screen.

just a thought, maybe change the hostage with a car since it is malden....

i see this happen sometimes in all game modes, one player gets put way out of the playing-field

in this case i could also not chose a weapon, i ended up with a sniper and well look at the location, that is a sweet spot....

 

so the spawning is not yet perfect, maybe you can "hard code" player spawns in templates, you too often see people spawn weird, in each others spots or in geometry or like this way out in the field

 

still like the game :D but if i were blue i would be pissed in  this screen shot :D

Project Argo is good but it can be GREAT, its the competitive PVP focus that ARMA needed

 

Add hostage escort gametype with no respawns

Remove crosshairs

Change the team names to something more tactical Clouds and Flames, really?

Mod support with steam mod synchronization

Bring back look zoom from Arma when holding aim

More Map design similar to SOCOM 2 and less like counter strike Arenas https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3XH86EjpTIc

Great work, Argo team! Finally - after much delay - managed to have a bash at this and it was great fun (even if I was rubbish at it!). First impressions, very positive! Need to spend a bit more time playing and learning the ropes. I was very impressed with the soundtrack too - I wonder, how can we get our hands on it? :fones: Can't wait to see where this goes and where the Incubator will take us next!

I can't remember if characters have arm patch in game, but it would be a good thing to have arm patch at the colour of player's side!

Thanks for the feedback!

- We are already working on some ideas of new scenarios

- Crosshair will be removed for hard core mode which we plan to do

- Clouds and Flames are just a code names, we don't believe it carries that much of importance

- We never planned on supporting moding in Project Argo, that is what Arma is for 

- Removing the zoom from Arma was a design decision aligned with the vision of Project Argo which is easier, more approachable gameplay. What is also important is the fact that Project Argo is about close combat. 

- It's important to realise that Project Argo is based on Arma 3 and it's terrain as well. Also Malden, the island on which Project Argo takes place will be a part of Arma 3 Free Malden DLC.

Hi,

We are aware of all the respawn issues meaning - respawning in players, respawning in objects, respawning outside of respawn areas and we are working on fixing or at least fail safe mechanisms. 

Actually the whole respawn system is scripted.

eagerly awaiting solutions :D

it was not that i thought you were unaware, it was more the situation of the screenshot and what happened just prior in another game of raid, where a defending guy got spawned outside the red lines and was living the whole round, these two instances

were strange and well the screenshot just shows a mayor disadvantage for the clouds just had to share it :D

That's incredible! You should make some with the logos of the two mercenary teams in the game, and put the shirt's texture on top of the logo, and it would be perfect

i got an idea for a new gamemode

wich would play as followed

at the beginning there is only one class like a normal assult rifel

you can get new classes from airdrops this class is chosen at randeom and can only be used once if the user of this class dies if he survives it can be used again

wile the air drop is capured both teams have the chance to make their turn and capture the enemy point if this happens the rund end if the air drop is not collected nobody gets it so it stays fair

the seceond point got a little advatage for the pushed back team and the airdrop drops again because of the advantage the pushed back team has a fair chance against the other team and capturing the point

this mode should not have a winning round limit but a normal round limit like if 10 rounds have passed the team that has more points captured at the moment wins. a team can also win if the base is captured

While I'm sure many will be making billboards promoting their own interests, I'd like to see something different done, I'd like to recognise those who've passed. I've reached out to a few veteran community members about my idea and they agree that it is a worthy cause. As such, I'd like to extend it to you, our new (and old) community.

An exellent idea FM, I'm sure that others would include them on their terrains, I know I will.

 

R.I.P Bushlurker and the other legends who have helped so many over the years, with nothing but a thanks in return.
