I have set it too serverMod=@UNSUNG_3.0_Bravo

 But why? 

use "-mod"! 

This, for my knowledge, which is not big, is not a server side mod. Just use "-mod" and I will most likely work!

Ill try it, im using a rented game server which i just have to add the mod name in the commandline and it normally does the rest

I still get the same errors.  I've tried your suggestion,also tried renaming it.  I thought it might be the mission i made so i downloaded the mission posted on the first few pages and that doesn't work.  I may have to give up on it for now which is a shame as we was really looking forward to playing it.  I just cant figure out what the problem is

-serverMod=<string> Loads the specified sub-folders for different server-side (not broadcasted to clients) mods. Separated by semi-colons. Absolute path and multiple stacked folders are possible.

This makes no sense to me, I assume it is for server-specific things like a database tracker or similar. Personally have never done that.  I would assume !!! it would be something like:

 

-serverMod=databasefolder -mod=Unsung

 

 

The use of:

-mod=Unsung

... should be the only thing required.  I would definitely try that and see if that makes any difference.  Others run Unsung servers w/o this so I can't see the need for -servermod at all.

 

The specific error from that screenshot is:

 

"Missing uns_backpacks"

 

 

is curious.  Are you sure you have that PBO in your unsung folder?  Also, since you say this is a rented server, why not just name the folder "unsung" to avoid use of the "_" and "." characters.  Those may be bad juju on the hosting server.  The folder name is arbitrary.  You could call it "@batshitcrazy" if you wanted... then you would type in:

-mod=@batshitcrazy

 

 

Finally, the "-filePatching" switch appears to be NOT needed.  Per that same link, it seems you can use modified PBO's if you wish.  There should be no reason to do so w/ the unsung content.  Recommend removing that switch completely.  Since the unsung license doesn't allow modified versions of our content, this is a pointless switch to use.

Well I never ran a server...... I'm a developer :P .... I haven't even played 1 MP game on Arma 3 yet !! :o  I seen there was something missing at the start of his command line ... thought it was worth a shot...

Here is a update on Unsung,SP:  Planes,every weapon I`ve tested,has worked flawlessly!  I`ve used the Ace,Cup Weapons,bCombat,Blastcore Phoenix,Niarms,Taw Distance Addon,TFRadio,MELB,MGI TacticalPack,Cyprys Auto Run.

 

All at once ! This worked almost instantly flawlessly with the Advanced AI Command mod,sometimes it takes some time to make the OH-13 to land,that`s all.I contribute that to me.

 

On the planes; It is desired to get a more advanced cockpit dash and the bombing needs the 1.60 update to work best,it is too hard at the moment.

The A-7 has it´s wings folded-but flew anyway....!    Congrats on the "underpowered" UH-1!  It is like the real one,needs planning ahead of time when flying.

I got a GTX-980,and FPS was from 22-62 dependent on if I was in dense forrest or at least 32 when flying.

 

Congrats to you and the team for releasing Unsung for Arma 3!    Looking forward to Charlie and Delta.!

check your unzip worked properly and kept the folder structure

 

FIRST

I always rightlick on the rar and select unpack to folder.

this keeps the internal folder structure intact from the packed rar to the unpacked folder.

 

NEXT

check that your folder structure is: Arma 3\@unsung_3.0_bravo\addons\ (all the pbos and bisigns)

sometimes unzipping with winrar/7zip will add an extra folder like Arma 3\@unsung_3.0_bravo\@unsung_3.0_bravo\addons\

 

90% of the time this will be it.

Well thanks for your help anyway guys. Its either a problem server side or something im doing wrong.  Ive tried all suggestions and constantly get the same error.  I double checked and i do have the file  uns_backpacks. I cant get the Wild Weasel mission to run either.  Ill come back to it later.

Have you, as the client, actually run the mod? 
(my experience have shown that this is not the most ridiculous thing that can be asked ^^")

see mu post above mate.  the uns_backpacks message is because you are NOT RUNNING THE MOD.

this means none of the missions will work.

I can play it in the editor and create missions with it.  Ive just tried uploading it to a 2nd server i have and get the same problem.  I really dont know what it is that im doing wrong. I thought it was my mission i made at first but I tried the Weasel Operations posted at the beginning of the thread and that wont load for me either

To the fans and friends of the unsung .....

 

Thank you all on behalf of the team for the kind words and appreciation of all the work the guys put in.So far we have seen the unsung social media explosion , our bravo release video got 3750 views today alone !!! Compared to the 10,000 since release 4 weeks ago. Twitter has been going ballistic with re tweets and I am being inundated with words of praise and thanks from steam members. :) It has been our most successful launch since we started out in 2004 , minus the server issues earlier in the day :P

 

I want to personally congratulate the team on their hard work, dedication and support. Without them this mod would never have flown....its a load shared between brothers.. that makes the journey between releases bearable.

 

We also would like to thank BIS for their continued ongoing support , Especially Dwarden who hides in the shadows of our Dev Skype chat and pops up to give us advice and guidance as we move forward.

 

To you the community whom patiently waited for the release thank you , we hope in your eyes it was worth the wait :)

yep me neither! I was talkign with savage on steam about a bug and he told me to report it on the forums but i never get an activation email!

I've tested Alive with Unsung on Altis and got no errors running the mission. Everything appears to be in order and no config errors are being reported on my side. Make sure you download the Unsung Bravo update from their link, or from the nice Torrent someone uploaded today.

 

To further my investigation I have added the exact same scripts and modules from the Vietnam map to the Altis map. The mission loads and runs smoothly on Altis, however on the Vietnam map it gets stuck on a infinite loading screen. My guess is that Arma can't figuer out where to spawn units (since the map is not indexed) and it just gets stuck in a infinite loop. Hopefully this can get patched soon, as I am sure many of us would love to play some Unsung, Alive, combo mission.

 

So you used UNSUNG_W_ARMY or UNSUNG_W_NAVY, etc.  in the OPCOM Modules and you had US Troops spawn (or VC if you used their faction names)?

 

Because I just double checked, tried again..and got either no spawning or Vanilla CSAT spawning.

I'm loving the little details

- cool voice overs! We have some in foa and yours are great

I keep forgetting how much it adds hearing them yell during combat

-great gear... love the backpacks and webbing in particular

-great map... I was looking down from camp sarge and the treetops created that impenetrable blanket

.. they are down there somewhere....

Moving through the dense underbrush is awesome.

-love the Bush cover attached to NVA units. Seeing that move thru parts of the underbrush and shooting thru the foliage is awesome.

-a couple of times in just a quick take a village mission we were moving through the brush and literally had nva emerge from the Bush 45 ft in front of us... all hell breaks lose... they start yelling... we start yelling... iron sights come up... sweet!!!

Really complete and tidy package you guys have put together!

Keep it up.

Excellent immersion factor! Alive insurgency is going to be great.
