Added a few extra terrestrial buildings in the last version. Modeling in oxygen is a forgotten art.

It literally took me years to attach this head to the android. No idea why it suddenly worked out finally.

Its body actually is the default LOD 4 or 10 or something. Regular person from far away. So making this guy was a few clicks deleting the superfluous LODs,

then hitting U to make the edges sharp. Then E to attach the default chrome. Was faster than the time it took to type this.

I went out of my way for that head though and was very upset it never showed up ingame

(yes I had of course kept the LOD1 proxies for head attachment even back then).

I have set up tiers in the hopes that someone will make a campaign with research or some other system of advancing

(all Jets become VTOL at some Tier, the cars are faster and eventually I may find the time to add some futuristic weapons too).

They need some APC too but I can not decide on which one.

If you made a sectoid, I'd definitely make a mission that generates UFO intercepts and spawns sectoids around crash sites for recovery missions.

If Bad Benson has time, and ports his Alienz mod from A2 over with these guys, it would be incredible. Add the new rail tank to the mix and a little scifi weapons for that old school tactical x-com fun.

Looks great except I would change the pinkish/purple to the blue or yellow already on the body...or go with green in the spots that have the pink/purple. Really cool looking

Yes, They are supposed to be an energy weapon of sorts with a terribly annoying chirping sound when they're fired.

I will make them rather weak but make up for it with speed, energy cell capacity and rate of fire : )

Also going to begin work on a heavy plasma lasgun thermo thingy this weekend and maybe think

about how to exchange the vehicles weapons with energy beams

Yea a shootout between these and Bensons Zetaborn could be fun ; )

Probly won't do a lot new things this weekend. There is still a hell of a lot of errors popping up I need to get rid first.

This little guy is the squad leader. He got tentacles for hands and he had all sorts of oxygen II accidents happen to him.

So he and his friends are pretty upset.

this is going to be a totally low fi addon.

Partly cause I don't feel like putting too much time into it - I don't have the skill or time to develop those skills. I don't really care : )

and partly cause it is a design decision. It's supposed to be a sort of hommage to old sci fi movies of questionable quality : )

Regarding the tentacle hands, seems like it's a weapon anim issue. Should be able to resolve it with binarization of the addon that has the rtm. Looking good!

AAF forces quickly responded, contained and ended the extra terrestrial madness.

thanks all of you, actually had some time to update this and managed to get all things error free except for the tank.

Lasers were brought to you courtesy of Abs. He helped me with the weapon config.

I think I went a slightly different route with making the tracer a beam and not the firing animation, not sure :)

Anyway it sort of works : )
