Did they kill the guy in Paris too?

It seems that yes. All three terrorist would be dead.

But there are conflicting reports on the hostages status.

i just wish to France - that all no-go zones will disappear (police will delete those zones and natives will again feel safe) and Police will no longer retreat like on movies i presented in previous post ( http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?187353-France-General&p=2853290&viewfull=1#post2853290 ) - there should be no no-go zones in civilised Eu country,

i hope France will change, not forget about this and next week return to what was in last years with Islamization threatening to natives

The assault of the kocher market in Paris

The explosion is from a flashbang grenade, probably thrown back by the assaulter(s)

It seems three people were killed at the very beginning of the hostage taking at the grocery in Paris (Reuters says four), and that there were two terrorists, not only one.

4 wounded among GIGN and RAID it seems.

Yay!

EDIT: Confirmed one RAID is critical. F*ck.

According to the first reports the GIGN didn't started the assault in Dammartin, the terrorists left their building and started shooting at the police.

The kocher market has been booby trapped.

That would explain the wounded officers.

So it seems that:

- Morning: The brothers barricaded themselves in the building without knowing a civilian was there (he remained hidden the whole time)

- About 10.00: The "hostage" sends a text message saying he is hidden

- First afternoon: The lone guy entered the supermarket killing four people immediately

- 17.00: The two brothers left the building shooting and were killed in the firefight, while the hostage was rescued through another entrance

- 17.15: RAID probably decided to blitz following the two brothers getting killed, freeing the remaining hostages in the supermarket whilst killing the armed man; four hostages were wounded in the firefight (one comatose)

- Three RAID officers were wounded (possibly because of the rigged entrances?) and one GIGN

- The woman that was with the man in the supermarket fled the area as one of the hostages

To sum up:

3 armed men killed

1 suspect woman fled

1 GIGN wounded

3 RAID wounded, 1 critical

4 hostages killed

4 hostages wounded, 4 critical

1 hostage freed at Dammartin

around 20 hostages freed in Paris

Yay!

If that is to be confirmed, it would be a huge mishap.

Well, the main goal was to free the hostages and avoid any more civilian casualties, which is a success.

On the same subject :

A reporter for Le Nouvel Observator, Donald Hebert, says the operation does not look over yet. He says he saw police run behind the store "clearly looking for someone... maybe accomplices".

They keep repeating it in my 24 hour news national TV channel, they may as well be wrong.

Yeah but as you said, also to avoid any future civilian casualties. That woman must have been apprehended.

Again, there's no data officially confirmed, so we'll see what the situation result is when the "fog of war/battle" fades.

From what i've understood, the counter terrorism police thinks it's in fact a whole terrorist cell, which probably has more members than those 3/4 killed.

If that's true, the situation is really f... up. I think all the EU should take measures on the matter.

The fleeing woman detail comes from CNN quoting French sources.

Also, bomb disposal teams are checking the area around the supermarket, since it's unknown if more bombs were placed. It seems the mined thing is confirmed.

Yay!

From the Guardian Live:

According to reports in the French media the denouement of the two hostage situations in Paris happened after French security forces crept into position on the roof of the printworks moments before opening bursts of gunfire.

Their two suspects, the Parisian brothers Chérif and Saïd Kouachi, reportedly launched an audacious escape bid, charging out of the building firing at the security forces before being cut down in their tracks.

Moments later armed police launched an assault on the kosher restaurant in east Paris, using flashbangs and assault rifles to force entry to the under-siege deli.
