After a closer look, specifically in Bali, Indonesia... It's big. A very, big, island. It has a few rivers as well. But maybe they plan on making a different part of Indonesia. Who knows, based on the information we have so far, it's still a wild man's guess.

Indonesian assets would be interesting though. Su-30MK, one of my favorite for air maneuverability, DHC-5D Transport, Super Tucano (two seater finally?), other vehicles consist of actual boats, Rocket systems similar to BM-21 grad called the RM-70, they have the AS565 Panther, Mi-35, C-212, and an old Euro-copter that'll probably be replaced by the EC-135/145. The Panther can also be replaced by a modern EC-155, which has 5 blades on it's rotor, and a more powerful engine, making it more efficient, and quieter. NH-90 could show up somewhere as well, to replace their old AS550's. Also, they're army has a rifle that looks like the G-36 had sex with an ACE Galil, and also, Static 25mm cannons. Turns out Indonesia has a lot, and i mean alot of Static guns, ranging from 25mm AA cannons, to 125+mm Artillery pieces.

I think from a pragmatic point of view, we don't have enough conclusive evidence to pinpoint it down to Indonesia. The piers only mean that there is water, it doesn't have to be an island (Though I think that's quite likely, I don't think BI will do another Chernarus with procedural landmass borders) and the bench doesn't allow for a definite conclusion for Indonesia as well. What we can however pretty much definitely rule out are the stupid Albania rumors (which never had any logical basis... :D) and be much more confident on a Pacific island setting for the expansion, which was also mentioned in the campaign on multiple occasions

Very good points here. However, CSAT also had everyone talking about them, some serious enemy, in which if follows backed by China, i'm hoping to at least see PLA weaponry. The Z-10 would fit nicely, as in fact not much is known about it, other than the fact that it's China's Stealth Attack Helicopter.

We do have a garrison on Borneo, but it's in Brunei rather than Malaysia.

It's a permanent base for one of the battalions of the Royal Gurkha Rifles (the two Gurkha battalions rotate between the UK and Brunei alternately) and provides a jungle warfare training centre for the UK's Armed Forces as a whole.

You know what i really really hope for? The same thing they did with Arma 3. I hope they give us a mini terrain, a small flavor of what we are going to get into. Example, Stratis being the taste, Altis, the full meal, and dessert

But that's always been the case with all of the series games; Everon for Nogova, Rahmadi for Sahrani, Utes for Chernarus, Zargabad for Takistan, etc. so there's little doubt that they'll do it again.

The only thing we haven't had since Arma 1 are combined islands like United Sahrani. Still waiting on the devs to give word about a joint Republic of Altis and Stratis map.

While not enough infantry completed yet. DLS must finally solve the biggest problems the series.

focus on infantry combat.

We do not have a normal system damage people.

- A detailed division of the body into zones

- A detailed division of protection zones (normal body armor)

- A more complex system of treatment

- Addition of lameness

Plausible grenades and grenade launchers

- fragments

- The correct loading rpg (animation + time)

- Addition of disposable grenade

- The correct bags for grenades

- fire lying

overall

- Holster with a gun

- The ability to use the back to carry additional weapons

- The ability to pass high fences

Not quite. Everon, Malden and Kolgujev were the main meat of CWC. Nogova was the main meat of Resistance that came with it. Fourth island that came with CWC was Desert Island and that served the same purpose for OFP as Rahmadi, Utes and Stratis serve for their respective games, as a small and light terrain that would load up quickly when you first started the game. Zargabad was a special case because it was made such due to the dense urban setting which RV historicaly doesn't deal with too well.

Stratis had another benefit, as it did serve as a much better test bed for the Alpha/Beta and an incentive for early access purchase than a flat gray box like VR would ever have been. Even tho currently, VR is the best example of a small fast loading terrain to make use of as the initial loaded in terrain.

Fair enough. I always assumed that it was the same case for OFP since you only got a bit of Chernarus from the A2 demo.

I'm still determined that BIS are going to have a small early accessible terrain, in similar geographical make up as the main Keystone they're currently keeping secret. I'm actually over excited if it's in Asia. I also wonder if they're going to throw in any secrets with the Marksman DLC, according to a post on twitter awhile ago, there could be more. However, it's highly doubtable.

"There could be more" most likely meant something that was on dev branch but wasn't promoted by BI the way resting/deployment/AI suppression/bipods yet also managed to pass the "strict" data lock.

@ Zukov: Ya know, an archipelago is an interesting (if unoriginal) way around the game's lack of engine support for flowing rivers, much less rivers with non-sea level elevation, while facilitating the concept of "riverine" warfare (in the sense of warfare between islands).

What ever the terrain I hope it's AI focused/friendly being I predominantly SP, from my experience with large mountains, dense jungles and rivers (bridges) everywhere is AI cannot cope too well with any of them, they don't seem to understand elevation, they fail at rivers and bridges and as for jungles well I guess it depends on how it's designed... AI have this thing off driving off rd and hitting that one and only tree in a field.

I think in terms of fighting with AI Altis is one off the best maps, the terrain is nicely broken up and has enough gullies and hills to keep it interesting with enough clutter everywhere and AI generally can access anywhere on that map, great for mission making.

No but seriously, if it's Indonesia, they better not screw up their assets, and make some mythical vehicles, when they clearly have good Technology as it stands. Nut seriously, that and the whole nine yards!
