So will be possible to have a dedi server AND the HC client on one machine? If so would there be a significant improvement?

It always has been best done that way, provided you have enough CPU and RAM grunt to make it worthwhile. The big advantage to doing it this way is that the HC and the server have zero ping and essentially unlimited bandwidth.

2 machines same location is better.

or so it seemed in my tests.

Had two app crashes with the v5 server files right after each other. The bidump files are empty though :(

Reverted back to v3 for the moment.

RC3 does seem stable, but I came across a strange bug yesterday on CHIMERA EU (KOTH), where I was being flown in a chopper over the AO, where we encountered AAA fire and my machine seemed to freeze, I had a light blue screen, which corrected after about 20 secs. We had then landed, but I had no sound for the rest of the game, until I restarted. Weird.

After updating to 1.36, I can't open arma3server.exe on my server any more. It seems that it has changed to an x64 program. My dedicated server is running 32-bit Windows.

Seems like a great opportunity to get with the times and update your server OS. xD

You can always put linux too. There is a linux version of the dedicated server.

Too many applications and data on the box. I can't afford to break or lose them. Please provide a 32-bit executable. I have a whole community waiting for my servers up.

the binary is 32bit, must be some other problem

anyway preparing 1.36 PERF v1 servers (some optimizations aren't in STABLE due to possible instability)

Hi.

We were rly happy with the v5 perf on our altis server. We had 30cps/fps with more then 50 players...

Since v.136 its rly bad again. The cpu is not maxed anymore and is stucked between 60 -80% and we got about 2-5fps and 1 cps with more than 50 players. Thats a huge backstep. The server never performed so bad even with 80 players and the normal old library.

Anything we can do?

We are experiencing this too. V5 gave great performance increase FPS/CPS wise. 1.36 took this performance away again :(

so, is there someone brave enough to test 1.36 PERFv1 server ?

we figured how prevent the freezes (and the cause of the bug, fix is wip)

don't use BE RCON for admin commands (# commands especially) while rarely BE commands (or better not too)

Hi,

Tried the v1 perf, lost ~30% FPS server side @ 80 players with same mission code. No crash to report so far, but it has been only since this morning.
