For us we still have big dysch when two or more players are in the same vehicle following two or more layers in another vehicle.

Apart from that yer its good (v4 that is)

V4 is working like a charm for us now. But sometimes som players have huge desync. They stay on 1 spot on the map when in a vehicle when they in fact are somewhere else.

I need videos of those desyncs (both client and server must be perf v4 to be sure (or 1.37 DEV))

We have required build running now so I will get you some video proof over the next few days.

As requested here is an example of how sometimes the vehicles dsynch.

Watch the hunter from my perspective.

also watch the automatic gate open for a hunter that hasn't moved for me.

Hope this helps some.

NOTE : This isn't related to the perf version only, this happens on stable for us and started 1or2 stable updates back.

1.36 perf v5 server

My first impression = rly bad server CPS. :/

well considering nothing has changed inbetween v4 and v5 in relation to performance it's quite strange

what mission?

Altis Life.

FPS and CPS differ widely in V5.

I have noticed better FPS as well, but as I'm not recording CPS I can't tell. Don't know how this value is computed by ASM (maybe should look into their git!).

A bit soon to tell if this has solve the multiple crash (memory access violation) I've encountered in the past 2 weeks.

As usual, thanks for providing these exe!

@Dwarden

Question:

What is better (1 Gameserver only / no Headless Client):

(Same core clock)

Server with 2 Cores + 2 Threads -> Hyper-Threading (-enableHT)?

Server with 2 Cores -> Hyper-Threading deactivated?

Server with 4 Cores + 4 Threads -> Hyper-Threading (-enableHT)?

Server with 4 Cores -> Hyper-Threading deactivated?

Server with 6 Cores + 6 Threads -> Hyper-Threading (-enableHT)?

Server with 6 Cores -> Hyper-Threading deactivated?

How many cores are currently supported effectively by the arma3server.exe (2 / 4 / 6 / 8 Cores or more)?

---------------------------------------

And:

Less Cores with higher single-core clock (2 / 4 cores) or more cores and less single-core clock (6 / 8 cores) -> (Hyper-Threading ON / OFF)?

Good question! I make 2 Core for every Client (Server + Headless Client ) without Hyper-Threading, didnt saw any performance gain with using of hyper-threading.

We are experiencing a lot of crashes on our linux server.

The server used to run quite well for about a month, but starting some time around last Thursday (2015-01-15) (I think it was Thursday, could have been Friday or Wednesday), the server started crashing a lot in the middle of missions. Before, the server would easily run for 72 hours, now it crashes very quickly, sometimes after just one hour.

Sometime in the night from Friday to Saturday, I ran an update with Steam, which did pull some updates. I don't know what version it was before (it was 1.36.something), but now it is 1.36.128579. The crashes started before the update and continued after the update.

The only mods we have loaded on the server are TFAR and CBA_A3.

The performance of Linux servers is abysmal. With 50 players in server, I got only 4 FPS on the server side.

On the same box when it was running Windows 2003, it would never fall down to that number even when the server is full of 80 players.
