[SP/MP][COOP] Patrol Operations - Official Thread

Jerik, I figured it out on my own.

We either need to use the squad that's all already crewmen (they can repair) or use the HEMTT with the shipping container full of ammo boxes as it also resupplies and repairs vehicles.

roy86, thanks a ton for this, it's great to have something like Patrol Ops for hosting game sessions. I hope you keep it as something that doesn't require a heap of mods so that we don't need to start running them. Our group's been running mod free so newcomers don't need to jump through a ton of hoops to join in.

The upcoming release, will that fix the fact that there seems to be a crash bug that gets triggered sometimes when people join in?

;) Cheers mate, there are also repair points on either side of the hangers (next to the locked service vehicles). I'll make sure the 3 Vanilla variants are always available.

Not sure about the crash bug.. haven't witnessed it myself or had any previous report.

Joining the game seems to sometimes hard lock the client. Moreso when the user disconnects to the host's lobby then reconnects (aka backing out to the last screen BEFORE you hit the lobby).

When it goes down, the game hard locks.

Repeated with 2 hosts, both hosting from within the game (not a dedicated server) both running unmodded.

Here's my logs for the 2 crashes I experienced.

When it goes down, the game hard locks.

After last Arma 3 update there are missing stuff in ammunition boxes. Our dedicated server crash twice on the latest update during Patrol Ops, but this can be game or mod related.

We have same problem. Server keeps crashing after 5-30 minutes. Other servers are also experiencing this problems. I advice you to check this link thread: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?174149-Multiple-crash-with-1-12

i confirm that i have a similar problem ,not crash but when i start first time the mission (dedi server) , when i press the continue button , the server loading the mission and after that kick s me back to the lobby instead of the map screen. after that if i press the continue button again ,then i can join the game ......

i dont know if the mission or the game

is the problem .....

There is no information in those log that indicate an issue with the mission. It appears to be a BI issue that you need to raise to them.

That is often caused by using missing or mis-matched mods and other scripts. Missions are rarely ever the cause of that.

We are also having a server crash issue. It is not related to Patrol ops , others missions are suffering the same. This is an issue with the latest patch

Glad to hear your mission isn't broken, roy. Hopefully the A3 dev team sort out whatever's broken, soon.

Is there any chance of being able to crew vehicles that are loaded on to HEMTTs? When testing it out I loaded an IFV on one and an APC on another and towed one HEMTT with the other and all I could think was 'man if I could have gunners in these things this would put even the biggest of GI Joe vehicles to shame'

Great friday news, thanks a lot Roy! Glad to see this officialy out, anyway I wanted to ask how it is looking with support for older A2 maps? I see there (https://dev.withsix.com/issues/73568) is 90% done, so we can expect this soon?

Don't have an exact ETA as of yet, we're just going through those over the next few days to work out what works and what we might pass on.

Cheer but this is by design. If you want incapacitated/dead, its easy to disable the injury system by commenting it out and use Xmed.

It works, but it disables too the aid system :(

You said to use Xmed, where to enable it ?

Is there a way to use BTC revive ?

It should be my last questions ;)

Xmed is a medical mod you run in tandem. http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?169030-XMedSys-Improved-Medical-System-for-A3

BTC revive is not supported as it handles the injury state after death not before which is required.
