User Mission Request Thread

Objective:

To create a persistent coop mission which is focused on smaller scale warfare, for smaller groups who do not want to try and fight a full-scale war but might want small missions which they can jump on and do alone or with 2-3 people. I also see where you might get some missions which are non-combat, similar to the IDAP DLC showcase, where players go to a village and clear mines or deliver supplies to locals etc. Below are the epics and user stories, if a creator likes the idea I can try to create a more detailed specification, and acceptance criteria for them to work off, feel free to message me.

I will try to add to this document on my side, as will take time to flesh it out but let me know if you’re a mission maker and you are interested. I have these in a excel and word doc which looks nicer but the forum cant follow same format so I put them in quote boxes.

The mission should try to use as many native functions were possible unless this would affect performance of the mission.

·         Respawning

·         Vehicle respawning

·         Revive and medical system

·         Lifting system

As a user I need the mission to use the APEX DLC

As a player I want to be able to play on Coop, via the mission being hosts on a server.

As an Admin I would like to be able to administer the mission settings:

·         Have a reserved slot which has access to Zeus.

·         Be able to change the enemy settings, either in game or by editing the mission files.

o   AI accuracy

o   AI shake

o   AI spotting

o   AI skill

o   Vehicles available to players at the player Base

As a community we would like to have whitelisted (reserved) slots.

 

E1BR7

Admin or reserved slots to have the option to cancel current missions (if they bug out). This could also be used if certain missions have to be requested, I would think this can be achieved via an action menu on a laptop in the main base.

 

Epic2 – Functions and missions

There should be three (n=3) missions types.

·         Main missions

o   These are the largest ones which are essentially base destroy missions, these could be spawned at markers, but this is dependent on limitations. They will contain a range from a small FOB with several squads and possibly 1-2 lightly armoured vehicles or cars (recommended).

·         Side missions

o   These are missions which can be done by a pair or a single person.

o   HVT – Kill missions (assassinations of enemy warlords), this target would be in a building and may have guards or civilians around them. Killing a civilian will fail the mission.

o   Arrest a suspected enemy fighter, here you will be given some generic information and have to search a small area which will have civilians in it and try pick the right guy from that information and bring them to a police station or allied base.

o   Destroy an ammo cache which is defended in a small camp, or harbour area.

o   Small convoy sabotage, the convoy will show up on the map and just contain 2-3 vehicles.

·         Humanitarian (non-combat missions)

o   Pick up and delivering leaflets for local elections or dropping them off at locations.

o   The player will be sent to a location on the map (most likely a small village or road), and they will be tasked with clearing mines, or other ordinance.

o   Picking up a supply vehicle with aid or picking it up via helicopter and delivering it to a local village which will be marked for the player.

o   Attending to a medical situation where civilians have been harmed and either providing medical assistance to injured civilians or transporting injured to a hospital.

Enemy units must be Syndikat, with no tanks, jets or helicopters.

As a player I would like to be able to spawn on a vehicle which has been designated in the mission files.

 

E3BR4

As an Admin I would like to have the ability to recall vehicles to base, if they are abandoned in the field I need to be able to respawn them with an option.

 

E4BR5

When a vehicle that is designated as being a player vehicle and spawn point is destroyed it needs to respawn and retain the same abilities as before. (be used as a mobile spawn point).

As a player I should be able to heal and revive other players by using a first aid kit which will be consumed by this action.

·         It would be a positive if healing and reviving by non-medic players (those without a medical kit, but only a first air kit will not fully heal players, for that they will need a medic).

 

E3BR2

As a medic, I should be able to heal and revive other players if I have a medical kit in my inventory, which will not be consumed. This means medics are not limited on how many times they can heal or revive.

 

E3BR3

As a player I must be able to access arsenal to load or edit my loadout. Here a box near the spawn and respawn will have an action menu option to access their arsenal.

 

E3BR4

As a player I want to have the ability to respawn if there is no one near me to revive me. (this may be 100 meters and have a time limit before respawning can occur).

 

E4BR5

As a player I would like to respawn back at base in a designated spot, and also when first spawning in I will appear in a specified location.

·         When first spawning in, they will appear in a room of a building in the allied base.

·         When respawning they will appear in a medical facility in the allied base.

@Frankspenc So you would like one mission which has all that together? Wish you luck but that is a long list of requirements. Now if you want separate missions which kinda follow your concept you can choose one of mine. They are all here: https://greekeditor.weebly.com/

Hey Joh,

Thanks ill take a look :).

 

Well i saw many servers run 2 missions at a time (i guess they are called tasks in game) with main missions and side missions, so i would only say 2 mission are runing at any one time. 

 

You could roll the humanitarian missions in with the side missions.

 

I was more refering to the types of tasks that would spawn once the current one is completed. Does that make any more sense? :). So the list of tasks/missions wouldnt all happen at once they were the options the server would have from essentially a mission pool/list to choose from each time the current one was completed or canceled (admin menu E1BR7).

Could you please help me for the following : I would like to create a mission (Hostage Rescue Mission) and i want to know if there's a Mod with a static o flyable civil plane (Boeing or Airbus for example) that i can you use for this mission ?

@Frankspenc Generating humanitarian missions as side-tasks is indeed a good idea I had not thought of. Maybe what you are looking for can be found here:

@JohnKalo cool i think you might be right. Ill check it out and see, it was that show case that IDAP showcase that gave me some ideas and made me what to come back to arma (and buy some dlc lol)

Guys, I am searching for a mission which exists. There was this forum member, Delta...? who offered a search type mission. You had to navigate the landscape and search for waypoints, I think it was time besaed. Any idea? Want to have a look at it, maybe modify...

in the official Missions  there is a MP (zeus) "32 +2 control Edessa" on Altis.
this mission is close as possible to a "battlefield 2" style game mode, without strange things and endless costumizations

Someone has edited this mission in some manner? if not, where is located?
i'm try from myself

there is a chance to replace the CSAT with Speznaz in endgame PVP 32 feres? some skilled mission maker?  is very funny  maybe change something....
