kireta21 13 Posted March 20, 2013 (edited) I thought they did cancel it some time ago, but it seem it's back again, or ZIL continue project on its own accord. Might be even better, if military don't buy them, they may still be selling commercial model for civvies :D Edited March 20, 2013 by boota
StormCorpsFinest 1 Posted March 20, 2013 It reportedly gets 2.3 mpg - hah. Better ramp up fuel logistics in those long Arma games.
dethica 3 Posted March 20, 2013 there was an article about this thing last week. it weighs 12 tons and drinks 1 liter of fuel per kilometer. they also claim that it can go up to 150km/h and 7.62 rounds will not penetrate it's armor.
viper[cww] 14 Posted March 20, 2013 they also claim that it can go up to 150km/h and 7.62 rounds will not penetrate it's armor. But we can still shoot out the tyres... till the vehicle explodes :D

bobby budnick 0 Posted March 20, 2013 I love this truck. Are the fenders attached to the axles? Otherwise, it would seem that the tires would rub.

qbert 10 Posted March 20, 2013 Slightly off topic, but one of my friends told me that the civilian truck looks a lot like a toyota.
viper[cww] 14 Posted March 20, 2013 Slightly off topic, but one of my friends told me that the civilian truck looks a lot like a toyota. All vehicles used are based on real life counter-parts, or similar.
adanteh 58 Posted March 21, 2013 It would actually be very cool if there was a complete civilian car package. Then again, I imagine making such a mod would take a ton of work (I don't do 3D work, so I have no idea how much work it actually) seeing most civilian cars are pretty damn detailed. Especially for stuff like Wasteland and Dayz it would be nice to have a very widespread selection.
charliemilk 10 Posted March 21, 2013 Looks awesome, if I was an eccentric millionaire I'd buy one to piss off clampers. Also, now we can see how the doors open lets hope that this ARMA release breaks the mold and has actual opening door animation!!
Fuse 1 Posted March 21, 2013 Why can't Arma stick to real vehicles instead of this sci-fi call of battle duty stuff that doesn't even exist. Totally unrealistic! (/sarcasm) Slightly off topic, but one of my friends told me that the civilian truck looks a lot like a toyota. Interesting. Which Toyota? My first impression was that they reminded me of a Honda Ridgeline, but a lot of companies are using similar designs.

I want to say it's a Toyota FTX, which is a concept truck at the moment, but it feels alot more like this: mixed with http://www.toyotaoffroad.com/Articles/Toyota/FTX_Concept/Images/05_ftx.jpg (254 kB) Which incidentally is the Toyota FTX. I'd be interested in seeing the new civilian cars too, when the time comes. I imagine we'll be seeing some very familiar/almost familiar vehicles.
