I think you mean Battlefield 2.5. 3 & 4 are generic MMS crap. Desert Combat... Oh the memories.
-
Yup, that's the last version before the evil Cloud, IIRC. Thanks a lot for the info.
-
It could be improved, but I think they already do a decent job. It's miles beyond what they had at the start of alpha.
-
Good to know, thanks! I already spent way more time than I should have looking for the terms, haha. Woah! Sorry, can you clarify? I use a Razer Naga and I hate Synapse 2.0 with a passion. I don't want to install Razer Surround if it's going to update my Synapse in any way.

I saw someone else mention that program, but after checking out the preview on the site I had to laugh. I can make the sample sound almost the same just by running it through an equalizer. It certainly doesn't sound very "surround"-y, even coming through my Grados. Plus almost all of their software is linked to a cloud now. Their excuse was that they needed more memory than they could affordably fit on a mouse, but that's so obviously bullshit it's not even funny. They just want to collect data from paying customers and don't give us the option of opting out. I don't like the idea of spending $90 on hardware only to be taken advantage of. Synapse 2.0 practically bricked my mouse until I dug up an old version 1.x installer, and Razer support didn't give a shit. I can't find the ToS/EULA for Razer Surround on their website, so maybe it's not just bug-ridden spyware like the rest of their software, but I doubt it. I'm a little curious, but the preview was not impressive and I'm very wary of Razer these days. Be careful what you download or buy from them. They never were known for quality in the first place. Either way, some equalizer tricks will never come close to real surround. I want to be able to enjoy my Z-5500s with Arma again. :)

Not sure where you got the impression that I was complaining, but I apologize. I don't see a problem with mentioning this issue. I don't really expect it to be changed, but there's no reason not to bring it up.
-
But you can't change it once you've joined a game, meaning that's irrelevant for anything but pre-planned PvP ops. If you're just playing casually you may not know which team you are about to join in on.

Thank you, and be sure to pass it on to George, too. :)

I think those of us who get nausea and/or headaches due to the blur would disagree.
-
Some before and after benchmarks would be grand. The placebo effect is strong when it comes to drivers.
-
This does seem odd. Why not give us access to all (or at least most) of the faces? You've already made them, are they lower res or something?

GTX780 in SLI, do I have unrealistic expectations?

Are you sure it's your GPU that's the bottleneck? Most people reach a point where their GPU will not be fully utilized because the engine is bottlenecked at the CPU. This is why you see no change in performance from most of the settings; only a few (such as draw distance) directly hit the CPU. That said, I've got a 2500k @4.8 and a GTX 570 and it sounds like I'm getting much better performance than you are. What missions are you playing? -
Thanks, Dark. I definitely want to try this out and see if it helps performance. Could be it does nothing, but I figure it's worth a shot.

Thanks Chortles. I had missed Dark's second post amid all the bickering.
