The 7750 sounds like the perfect upgrade for me, low-power is an extra (for heat and noise, I have a 650W PSU so should handle most cards)

Much appreciated!

I would not get the 7750, would try for the 650Ti if you have the money, use this as a little guide to cards, always worked for our group..:)

Lol @ so many people getting 3 monitor setups.. It just makes it harder to see everything at once and you get killed in the fight by someone who can see everything better on one screen. D : for u

Meh, it's nothing worth bragging about, but it works for me.

I'm using an Athlon x4 630 2.8ghz paired with a GTX 550ti and 4GB's of RAM.

Running with a mixture of some high, some standard settings, I can pull an average of around 40fps at 1280x768 resolution, but at night or in a location with a high object population I can just forget about it; it struggles to maintain a minimum of 22fps then, lol :o

I think I need a new PC.

My specs are in my signature.

Due to my GPU being pretty weak by today's standards I am forced to keep graphics settings down to a standard level. I am seeing 99% GPU usage all the time in single player (unless there's a ton of AI like the Heli showcase) and my average framerates are about 90-150 depending on the load. Multiplayer is a completely different story with most servers capping me around 50-60 fps and my GPU usage dropping to about 50%.

I really wish I could afford a nice new GPU so I could up my graphics settings without really losing anything. I love having the best possible framerate I can so I am alright with compromising the graphics, for now.

Well we have 5 desk PC's and 2 laptops for work etc.

Disregarding our work machines.

Our slowest rig had to look at our logs as we build our own. Yes my hubby and I are nerds ;) he more than I tho as he's a Physician Im a LEO.

i7 960 3.2

Intel boards

dual Gigabyte 6970's 2gig

32GB ram

all our DT PC's are water cooled

2 3 TB HD's

5 Antec 120mm case fans

Antec full size cases

EVGA 1500 watt PSU

Win 7 black edition I think it was or something like that.

Our fastest rig not only for gaming so its a bit overkill we also like photography and video editing. Same brands so just the different items.

i7 990x 3.6

64GB ram

Tri 7970's

3 3tb hd's

12 3TB in a hard drive case. HD's video takes up HD space like nothing.

6 fans

2 2000 PSU's

Our kids pc's are about the same as the slowest with 7970's instead and 32gb ram with 2 3tb hd's their getting older so soon they'll start paying as well hehe. Well that's about it for the next year or less lol! :p Man PC stuff evolves so fast. Just like stereo's, TV's ,Cars and my favorite clothes and shoes :) etc etc.

Edit: Oh yeah almost forgot monitors and sounds we all have 2 Sony 32's and 3 ASUS HDMI 3D 27inch LED monitors and Klipsh, Sony and sound blaster 7.1's THX systems with Asus routers and Motorola surfboard modems. Love Wifi. With Logitec, Microsoft and Razor etc (Cant remember all of em right now) input devices all wireless tho.

Bored got a cold :(

I think I have a pretty good PC except for my CPU. I just bought the game yesterday and for obvious reasons I can't play online. I had the game detect the settings based on my system and it maxed everything out except it lags. All drivers are up to date. Does anyone think I should upgrade my CPU and my GPU or strictly my CPU? Looking to get an i5 because i7 doesn't really offer anything worth my money.

OS Windows 7 64Bit

CPU Intel Core i3 3220 @ 3.30GHz Ivy Bridge

RAM 8GB

GPU AMD Radeon HD 7800 Series 1GB

Thanks

I doubt that the Auto-Setup maxed everything out on your system. If I choose Ultra-Settings and maxed-out Visibility-Settings, then I get only 25-35fps when playing the first Showcase.

It depends on which Quality-Settings you would like to play the Game. I just replaced my GTX670-OC-2GB which was too week as well for maxed-out Settings.

This thread is not the right place to discuss any hardware improvements, you do that in the "Will my PC run this? What CPU/GPU to get? What settings? What System Specifications?" thread which you already found and where you posted as well!

You tried disabling FXAA or SMAA?

No, didn't try it, as I went back to the v314.22, which are working fine.

:)

Edit:

Maybe I had the settings of the aircon to cold, because after I re-installed it via GeForce-Experience everything is ok now and the snow is gone. :yay:

Edit-2:

Worked only once and then the snow came back. Tried to disable FXAA / SMAA which didn't make a difference. A complete shut-down / restart of the PC didn't solve the problem either. Back to v314.22 for me. :j:

Edit-3:

Ok, I finally could narrow the bug down to the ATOC-Settings. If you play around / change the ATOC-Settings, then the bug appears and seems to be only reversible by re-installing the GPU-Drivers or going back and forth with different Driver-Versions.

Not really sure what to do, not sure on specs for ArmA3. in some situations/settings game runs ok, in some situations game performs poorly. Ai encounteres forces fps loss, on standard an low settings@1000 view distance, with grass off etc. Any advice suggestions would be much appreciated. have tried switching between dev build an stable build with mixed results on my server in both builds. Most recently having frequent stutters/hickups/rubberbanding. Hoping my ArmA gaming days are'nt over :(

Mod pls delete moving to proper thread thanx.
