mondkalb 1087 Posted January 30, 2013 (edited) Aloha! Yes, it happened again... I only remember a sudden "Poof" and suddenly I find myself working on a nifty new terrain. In this particular case it is a terrain that I make with all the seafarers and seafaring addons of this community in mind. It is called "Limu Nesslin", which doesn't mean anything and is totally a fake name. But it sounds good. At least to me it does. Which means it will change eventually. If you have suggestions, please let me know! Its dimensions are 25.6km by 25.6km, but most of it is ocean. The main idea behind this is, as mentioned, to provide a nice playground for all the sea-related gear and equipment. Maybe even the odd aircraft carrier or so. Additionally to this, I try to avoid era-specific items and objects, to allow this terrain to be used in either the 20th and 21st Century scenarios. (WW1 - Today) As usual, less words, more pretty pictures: (Click them to reach full-res versions) This harbor goes 40m deep so that all your stuff may work and dock here. This one shows one of the islands overall. More: Harbor side town entrance[*]Dock worker's slum [*]Some filthy backyard [*]Main road through town as seen from a rooftop [*]Slums at the edge of town [*]Bird's eye on the local settlement [*]A narrow pass [*]2D map (Note that each square indicates 10km x 10km), more islands may appear soon. This addon is unofficial and not a product of Bohemia Interactive. Edited January 31, 2013 by Mondkalb

metalcraze 290 Posted January 31, 2013 I give you kudos for making urban areas not flat. It's somewhat annoying how so many mod-maps featuring villages or towns just slap them on a completely flat terrain. I can also see there's some nice small cell size going on, possibly some sweet microterrain too.
jumpnjack 10 Posted January 31, 2013 It looks much more elaborate than what Im used to seeing as far as terrain addons go. Nice job!
Sgt.Spoetnik 10 Posted January 31, 2013 A other great piece of work by mondkalb, looks amazing so far, and add some more islands around like this one ,and it can make indeed a great naval warfare map. great job!
icebreakr 3157 Posted January 31, 2013 metalcraze: its quite easy when using closed up houses or elevated stuff from OA. Otherwise is a pain in the ass.

chrisb 196 Posted January 31, 2013 I have been trying to get hold of your ‘Baltrum’ terrain. Did you finish it or is it resevered for a particular clan/group ? I have visited your repository a number of times, but with no result.. This new terrain looks great, but all your stuff is great, so its only to be expected. I will look forward to this very much. Thank you.:)

mondkalb 1087 Posted January 31, 2013 Thanks everyone! @ChrisB My Baltrum terrain was never finished. It just lost in the sands of time. But it was nearly done anyways, and I do intend to pick it up and finish it sometimeâ„¢.

Should you be able to finish' Baltrum', that would be great, I would be one of the first to download it, as I will this 'Limu Nesslin' once you have finished. Always quality mods/addons you provide..:) Many thanks. Edit: Oh and thanks for letting me know, I have spent ages searching for it, I'm glad in a way its not finished yet, I didn't miss out..:D
