Well, if you were worried about that, you can just move the launcher forward a bit. It doesn't have to turn much, just enough so you the back of the magazine clears the mag well.

Visually, I like the a4 hand grip better. The m16 collapsable stock is a little pointless on the ak since it doesn't have a buffer spring in the buttstock, and doesn't require the tube to be there.

My thoughts exactly. The A4 Handgrip looks good, but I would keep the AK style buttstock, or maybe even something HK G36 like as you can see on the pic, the stock is available in different versions.

Defiantly a huge fan of version 2. It looks awesome and a lot more real (to me) then the first for some reason.

The only reason they use that (also IRL) is to allow adjustment for heavier clothing or body armor. Examples on this 2009 blog posting:

Yeah, I was thinking about alternatives that also have a folding hinge but I don't think there's anything in the example models.

Heya!

I've Bern thinking a bit and I have some ideas:

To be able to mount Aimpoints and Eotechs (wether or not you plan to make such versions, I believe the cherno MoD would at least consider such mods)

The rifle should have a RIS on the rear part of the rifle, or even better a dovetail mount to be more compatible to all sorts of scopes (east and west)

IRL the Venezuelan Army has recently acquired AK-103 rifles with PO 3.5x21P scopes which IMO are one of the better AK scopes out there. An AK-103 is basically a modernized AKM with plastic furniture, folding stock, etc. Would not be too hard to build.

Ok so I've taken version 2 of the CA-74, gave it a front grip and replaced the M4 stock with a G3 stock.

Config wise, it inherits its firing sounds from the AK-107, but has recoil and firing rate similar to the AK-74

Once I get the damn Shadow LOD not looking like a pile of crap, I'll post a few ingame pictures.

Well, those are some interessting designs! although I like the one from Max P. a bit more. But I'd say: get them all! maybe 'CA' has become pretty creative and is producing quite a number of different versions :D

And one more thing:

Has CDF switched from GP25s to M203s? OR has Cherno Armory designed a grenadelauncher of their own which just happens to look a bit like the M203, but is still using the GP25s grenades? :)

Libyan rebels in the recent civil war mounted BMP turrets on the back of pickup trucks. The BMP-1's gun apparently has very little kickback when firing.

Cherno Armory is using the M203 due to a very good deal they got from the United States.

They will continue to use the GP-25 for their reserve units and eastern equiped brigade. Their western and modernized troops will be using the M203.
