The map covers an area of roughly 7 x 7 km and features several firing ranges and a MOUT site, used by the nearby US Army installation of Fort Benning (GA). I released this map about two years ago for VBS2 as well. This is a complete remake and features no VBS2 content. Requirements ArmA2, Operation Arrowhead Known issues - some missing textures - MOUT area is more a placeholder than anything else Credits and thanks Thanks to all the guys over at the V3-board here at the BIS-Forum, who answereda all my questions over the years. Some feedback( if you are going to keep working on it): 1- Maybe reduce de density of the forest will improve the performance, because some players may have fps issues on this island :(. 2- Would be nice include an "barracks" area to some location over the map, so it could be utilized as spawn location. When I get better at terrain making and what-not I want to try and do Fort Bragg, Fort Richardson, and Fort Shafter. jens198 0 Posted August 16, 2011 Thanks for the kind feedback guys. Nice to see that the map brings back good old memories to some of you. Concerning the config/rpt errors, I try to fix these in the near future. Plans for the MOUT area are to use some MOUT buildings that phaeden made for his upcoming 29 Palms map. The other two projects I was working on the last months are a very large map that covers the NTC at Ft. Irwin (alpha-status) and a smaller map that depicts some tank firing ranges at Ft. Sabot And Heat 10 Posted August 16, 2011 I'm here at Benning now as an ammo manager. This map is great. Your grids are only slightly off from the real thing. That in itself is awesome. Great attention to detail bro. Do you plan on putting permanent targetry/ivans into the map? Do you plan on expanding to cover most of Benning? Would you do Fort Hood?
