What will happen to Stealth chopper wreckage?

Recommended Posts

Ive started this as a new thread as this does not relate to Osama's death directly.

Hello all

The damaged helo wreckage left in the compound of OBL is apparently a new unknown design (or stealthed BH upgrade.)

Although the hull is in bits, due to Blufor forces denying the enemy.

What is the remains legal status? Does it still "belong" to the US? or will it be analysed and sold on to third parties, who'd like to get their hands on new stealth tech?

Even in its damaged/destroyed state, it still must have a substantial dollar value.

Thoughts?

Maybe Bohemia can buy it and make dogtags out of it for Limited Edition copies of "Take on helicopers" or Arma 3.

I have a feeling you'll be seeing a few more beer cans and trash bins around the city soon.

You know, there could be malicious intent to leave the tail hanging like that. China will reverse-engineer it in no time. ;)

The U.S. will have to tread a thin line with Pakistan to get them to give us the tail of the stealth chopper back. We did violate their national sovereignty after all, even if the reason was justifiable.

Thats very interesting Stealth Black Hawk ,but still why they used that "Stealth" instead normal BH? and risking this crash etc

now we alteast know , the money from Comanche program was used to create a Stealth Black Hawk :p

If we suppose that Bin Laden bin dead is real, then:

Not sure how retrofitted Cobras would fit in with this BH, could've been something sexier. :yay:

Hmm very interesting about those new "silent" rotors - it kinda reminds me a german tv show AK-1 - the EC-135 helicopter with fictional systems, weapons and silent mode :D

Maybe if ever they revealed the aircraft, we could have one in ArmA 3.

Pretty standard angled surface configuration with retractable landing gear/pods for a small radar signature.

Yes, sexy.

Was watching a internet news video last night, can't find it now.

Points from article;

- Pakistan and China are buddies - concerns China will be purchasing the wreckage

- Heap of special "stealth" fabric remained at site, again concerns its going to the Chinese

- Power was cut to local area before raid, then switch back on afterwards

i assume it had more main rotor blades too, would help even more decrease noise, maybe flight handling characteristics plus could be useful to keep copter afloat if damaged or lost blade
