I just interested for the release date.

Yeah no big deal about asking that if you ask me. It shows that there's interest in an addon like this.

Regarding the answer, they'll be released when they're done.

the mopp gear looks nice, but shouldn't it be more like a jump suit? and the waist should be a bit thicker.

Well I guess all AR platforms in Arma have it that way. I didn't touch it.

No not like a jumpsuit, just pants and jacket. Though must baggier than a normal DCU/BDU.

When I get it ingame I will try to get the waist thicker. But right now I won't because I have no idea how the weight selections will work on this model.

The pants and jacket have been made a lot baggier too already so I hope it won't look messed up ingame.

Small Update



USMC Crew in Overalls.

I used that Takistani Mechanic model and simple retexed it.

Then added profile selectable headgear to them to make them crew members.

The pack also contains a crew member with IBA, no worries about that.

What do ya think?

Just tried out some of your beta Marines, the only bug I found so far was that when in the gear menu, the ALICE pack displays an icon picture of a more modern ILBE/MOLLE pack.

Oh yeah was aware of that one. It's just that I'm too lazy to make some new icons.:P

Same here. The crewmen look better without vests. ;)

EDIT: This might have been mentioned before, but there are two USMC crewmen listed under civilian.

if you want to make another MK12 varient heres an idea

i messed about with o2 a while back and put a ACOG then ELCAN on it and it looked quite nice..might be a good marksmans rifle

Had the same idea about the acog. So it will be there. :)

Don't have an Elcan model though.. if only I could have an Elcan Spectre like in OA.

About the crewman, until today I had never seen that model.

But when I was messing around in the editor this morning and saw it, I immediately imagined a crewman like on that screenie in my head lol :P

Small Update

A few days ago when I was addin a SMAW equiped Marine to my config I was wondering who carries to ammo for the poor guy. And how.

So went googling.

I found that the Smaw like it is ingame is inaccurate.

In real life the back half is a Ammo Canister which holds the projectile.

To reload the empty canister is removed and a loaded one is placed on.

It's a crew served weapon so this means there's a guy bearing the ammo.

Looked up some pics and thought it would be possible to bring to Arma II somehow.

This is what I came up with:

Now one question: How do I add SMAW ammo to those "Backpacks" in the config?

This is what I have right now but it doesn't work:

That Huey reskin is freaking mindblowing. Could you a tutorial about creating that texture when you are really bored and have nothing better to do? Hell, I'd even pay for it.

+1. I'm starting to get into texturing vehicles for my own project, and always up to learn extra hints and tips to help achieve the best result I can get. So if you do end up putting something together in the future, I'd definitely would love to check out a tutorial of sorts as well. Every little bit helps. :)

Small side project



Was playing a lot with the CDF lately and got bored of the vanilla units.

Thought their camo didn't really fit anywhere I played with'em.

So thought I should change that. Made both woodland and some sort of camo by simple recoloring the original textures.

Here's a little sneak peak:

No not possible on these units unfortunately.

Had to Hex-edit them al.

noticing your excellent mopp wip, i was wondering, is gas mask possible?

Well I'm not much of a modeler. I can model simple things that are based of Boxes or Cilinders in O2 to make mag pouches etc.

But such a mask would need a bit more skill than I have.

Maybe if someone has one I could borrow?:rolleyes:
