ARMA 2: Private Military Company (ARMA 2: PMC) DLC

Recommended Posts

The PMC download size is 829MB, do you think it already contains 1.56 patch? Because in email they mention the necessity of Arma2:OA to be 1.56 to play, but why this warning if it is bundled in DLC. On other hand I expected DLC to be only around 400MB

Ok, I guess it does not. PMC installed and it didn't change any files except adding PMC subfolder...

Please note that to play A2:PMC, you will need to have Arma2:Operation Arrowhead patched to v1.56. Patch will be released today at 15:00 CET here:

Kind regards,

It couldn't have been said clearer.

@[GLT]Myke: yeah, I was just little confused by the size of PMC DLC and didn't want to download another 300MB+ patch ;)

Got an email from sprocket, people who pre-ordered it can download it now. We still have to wait for the patch to come out though.

EDIT: Oh, how convenient, the patch JUST got released too!

Thanks for the heads up, just checked my personal email account and received the link.

Looks like I won't have to be late for the meeting afterall. ;)

for me both packs go 40 kb/s (1/third of 1 MB connection)

tried all FTP links

i said i don't like PMC, DLC

but also i said i support BIS cause they are giving us loooot of hours for money we would pay for games which give only 2 days

BIS delivered something which we play for YEARS (no matter i flame them for AK107, RPK, SCAR) but they delivered us YEARS of fun , so deserve money (even if i will just look at those DLC for minute)

thats why i bought 2 DLCs (also new terrain in PMC, Ka60, British vehicles )

so of course i am downloading it , but it says 40 kb max

my internet in job is 10 MBytes

so probably tommorow

but ... i dont like fact it requires verification to play

(what happens if someone has internet in job, no internet in home ??? )

I am not in a hurry to get this as I was with BAF, so eagerly awaiting feedback in this thread from owners (and some video hint, hint). Good to see the new fixes in 1.56 up just before this is out too. Will probably give this a go in a week or so. What interests me the most is the size of the install/download ... interesting.
