HOTAS and rudder pedals implementation
EveronVetsAgainstTheWar posted a topic in Arma Reforger - General
Hello, Has there ever been discussion about HOTAS and rudder pedals inputs for Arma Reforger? I searched but haven't seen any answers. Now that helicopters are officially introduced, I hope they allow inputs from HOTAS and rudder pedals. I bought these specifically to fly in Arma years ago and now I have trouble flying a helicopter without the pedals at least. TrackIR already works which is wonderful, so it doesn't seem like they are only limiting inputs to KB/M and gamepad. I'm just wondering if anything has ever been said by the development team about it. -
Key Binding for HOTAS systems
SlicedSwiss04 posted a question in Arma Reforger - Questions & Answers
Will players be able to use HOTAS systems to fly aircraft when they are added to base game? This would be very easy to implement considering there are systems made specifically for Xbox that work with PC as well so both would be included. I figure you wouldn't even need to make a preset setting in the menu, but just allow for them to be binded to in game controls once base game helis are added. -
Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog Throttle & Stick
DisNavyVet posted a topic in ARMA 3 - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
I'm looking for some help setting up my new Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog Throttle & Stick my son bought me. I play Arma 3 Apex and have all the DLC'S and I also play Digital Combat Simulator and Flight Simulator X. I'm a 60+-year-old U.S. Navy Disabled Veteran and not very good at setting up this type an item on my PC, I never owned one till now. I have Team Viewer if that would help us with the setup. I have Track IR setup and I also have Oculus Riff S setup. I just need help with the Hotas Warthog setup. If anyone has a little bit of time to help this old Vet out I would be very grateful. THANKS. GO NAVY.-

I am using an X45 HOTAS setup that was working fine, then my ARMA 3 user profile lost all the bindings. Windows 10 recognises my HOTAS and calibrated it fine. However my ARMA 3 user profile lost all the bindings. When I tried to rebind there were problems with the inputs being accepted. It would bind forward cyclic, then ignore the back cyclic. Anyway after lots of pushing and puling I thought I had rebound everything and went to do a test flight. The helo engines started up fine, but when it got to speed the Helo tried to lift up and the collective control had no effect and the cyclic control was ineffective. I checked the keybinds and they seemed to be fine but the problems repeated. It was alsmost as if the game only polled the HOTAS at an infrequent rate, or only intermittently. Basically I can not get ARMA to respond to the HOTAS in any manner that will enable me to fly, and as I am the Helo pilot for my MilSim group that is problem. ANy suggestions? I have rebooted, reinstalled drivers, recalibrated the HOTAS in Win 10 so it seems to be ARMA specific and I am a bear of very little brain so any suggestions would be welcomed.

Hey guys, I've been using my logitech X56 for a few months now. For some reason a few weeks ago I launched arma and when trying to fly I noticed that my helicopter kept yawing from side to side. I checked my controls and sensitivity and whenever I slightly touch the twist on my joysick it maxs out to -100 or 100 instantly with no in between. I then checked the logitech software to see the sensitivity however it showed that it should be working perfectly, same goes for the microsoft configuration application. I have uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled them as well as reset the stick. Here are some gifs of my twisting the rudder in the X56 Software and Arma3: https://gyazo.com/ef9111a080dba155b608c76a4a289f7b https://gyazo.com/4202329928f6331633adbc02714ddd75 Thanks...

I recently bought a Warthog HOTAS and noticed an annoying issue in Arma 3. Namely, the axis inputs from my flight stick (both x and y axis) as well as from my rudder pedals are very "weak" in-game, meaning e.g. when I fly helos and push the stick all the way forward, the animated stick is only tilted about halfway in that direction when compared to pressing the "w" button on the keyboard. Same goes for the other cyclic directions as well as the pedals. I did some testing, and as far as I can tell, Arma actually recognises the inputs correctly (they range from -100 to 100) in the controller settings panel, and the devices work without issue. Curiously enough, this problem is not present in "Take on Helicopters", or any other games for that matter. Any help is appreciated.

Hello, Ive already tried contacting support. They tried helping but even with all the things that I tried that they send me... it didnt work. Even a complete clean reinstallation of Arma 3 did not help my Issue. Now im asking if anyone else is using the X55 Hotas system and has the same issue as me, or if anyone knows how to manually enable the HOTAS system ? This really bothers me since ive been flying in Arma 3 always with my joystick and it really isnt easy for me to just switch. Best regards, Grosse

Q: X52 PRo and LShift = Increase Thrust Binding
Poppacapnurass posted a topic in ARMA 3 - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Hi all, I have a Saitek / Logitech X52 PRO HOTAS and have programmed it up to work quite successfully. When driving vehicles I note that on the Arma 3 Keyboard Layout there is a an increase thrust key (LShift = Increase Thrust). As this key corresponds to both land and air vehicles, I would to incorporate it into my X52 PRO bindings as my current accelerator doesn't appear to have this function incorporated. Other than using up a dedicated button on my HOTAS, can I bind it to the forward acceleration in some way? What have other HOTAS users done to access LShift = Increase Thrust? -
Tell me where to ask about TARGET .fcf mapping?
colinsrap posted a topic in ARMA 3 - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Hi all. Does anyone know about setting up the controls in Arma 3 for flight? I am REALLY trying to get the Thrustmaster WARTHOG HOTAS Games controller set to PROFILE "ASSOCIATE CONFIGURATION" in the hardware`s T.A.R.G.E.T software; BUT, I Cannot find the `.fcf` file/s. What I have done a hundred times:- a) I start the TARGET software that comes with the controllers. B) I "Create Association" in the "PATH" to the game Drive .exe for Arma 3. c) I TRY TRY x100 to link to a MYSTERY .fcf file. But I have hunted across the earth for it, but I cannot find it because I do not know where to look. My bad for wanting to fly a helicopter. Where would I ask this questio9n in the ARMA 3 forums? -
Due to the confusion i am getting trying to relearn the Vtol controls Since the last update on sneak preview I have this to say. While using Advanced Flight Model due directly to the recent changes i have a simple request/solution. Under planes controls please add Vtol vector increase VTOL vector decrease for VTOL enabled platforms. This way users can combine their own key commands or hotas inputs for better control of these new aircraft without the need to go back to mouse and keyboard or break out the boring scroll wheel options. Thanks

Hi, I have some malfunction with my joystick : T-Flight hotas X by Thrustmaster (just for arma 3, not in DCS or FSX), when i press escape, open map or back office, etc... , the throttle value change to 0% but my physical throttle joystick is up to 100%. I have this problem with planes and helicopter with and without mods. I test with differents sensitivity and dead zone.
