Takistan Map 12801x12803

41.2 MB 7z file contains 1 JPG picture. Shows the entire Takistan map with (from the config.cpp) all the Capitals, Cities, Villages and Locals, plus hills and vegs.

Now I'll have to pay my friend at the print shop to get this blown up, laminated, and hung on my wall just like my Chernarus map.

Note about map coordinates. The internal grid system used to have it's origin in the top left of the map, while the in game system, the one players see, had it's origin bottom left. On Takistan, and maybe all OA maps, both internal and external coordinates use the same origin and scale. This is much more sensible, in my opinion.

Another quick note, I've just realised that because I used the topography command to get the original map data, the scale is 1 pixel to 1 meter.

It's funny, I opened it in Photoshop at 72 pixels/inch, and the map was 14feet x 14feet. Oh well, I needed to wallpaper anyway :)

I wonder how to make a big print out of this. Sure, i could print out the parts myself and stick them together, but that looks meh.

If i take the file to a profressional print service i'd break a copyright i guess ?!? :(

Unless you start selling them for profit or giving them away non-profit I very much doubt it is breaching terms.

As long as it is for personal use it should be fine, although it might be worth PMing an admin anyway.

I would pm Placebo and ask.

I did that for my Chernarus map... and I had PM'd Placebo ahead of time and was told as long as not for profit (just a one off) it is ok.

My Reinforcement cd included a 85x55cm papermap of Takistan on one side and on the other Proving grounds + Shapur E-Dalanper.

But i cant use it bec at the bottom with small letters it says "Do not use for targeting". Haha
