Arma 3 STABLE Server 2.18 "profiling / performance binary" feedback
Sturmgewehr replied to Dwarden's topic in ARMA 3 - SERVERS & ADMINISTRATION
Is there already a solution for this? https://feedback.bistudio.com/T85234 -
We see suspicious traffic to many IP addresses. To internal IPs like 192.168.x.x and also to "UK Ministry of Defence" ("25.44.14.112","25.45.0.4") . [Bugreport / Request] The 255 player barrier
Sturmgewehr replied to Arkensor's topic in ARMA 3 - SERVERS & ADMINISTRATION
If someone wants to test our hardware / setting with his mission (over a weekend). Then just write an email to [email protected]. Condition is: Constant number of players and the experience with the ASM Monitor (before / after comparison). It would be a test for future planning. https://forum.zero-one.cc/user/601-sturmgewehr/ -

Arma 3 STABLE Server 2.18 "profiling / performance binary" feedback
Sturmgewehr replied to Dwarden's topic in ARMA 3 - SERVERS & ADMINISTRATION
@Dwarden Question: What is better (1 Gameserver only / no Headless Client): (Same core clock) Server with 2 Cores + 2 Threads -> Hyper-Threading (-enableHT)? Server with 2 Cores -> Hyper-Threading deactivated? Server with 4 Cores + 4 Threads -> Hyper-Threading (-enableHT)? Server with 4 Cores -> Hyper-Threading deactivated? Server with 6 Cores + 6 Threads -> Hyper-Threading (-enableHT)? Server with 6 Cores -> Hyper-Threading deactivated? How many cores are currently supported effectively by the arma3server.exe (2 / 4 / 6 / 8 Cores or more)? --------------------------------------- And: Less Cores with higher single-core clock (2 / 4 cores) or more cores and less single-core clock (6 / 8 cores) -> (Hyper-Threading ON / OFF)? -

Update 1.34 > Major loss of Server FPS on dedi servers
Sturmgewehr replied to whiztler's topic in ARMA 3 - SERVERS & ADMINISTRATION
Something is changed in MinErrorToSend and MinErrorToSendNear. I think, this is the Server FPS issue... Vehicle Desync gone but Server FPS too. -
Update 1.34 > Major loss of Server FPS on dedi servers
Sturmgewehr replied to whiztler's topic in ARMA 3 - SERVERS & ADMINISTRATION
Nothing changed on the server: Before the update: 64 Player 50 Server FPS After the update: 64 Player 34 Server FPS GOOD JOB Bohemia Interactive... How are you testing your features? Four Developer in a LAN-Party? I find really no words for it. -
1.30 is out: :yay: God damn... :( No fix detected.
-
1.30 - This type of desync forever?
Sturmgewehr replied to Sturmgewehr's topic in ARMA 3 - SERVERS & ADMINISTRATION
@Dwarden What i found out: If I reduce my client FPS with Sampling 300% (or high visibility -> 12000). The desync stops from other players. :confused: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XyjUjOanPS8 -

Sturmgewehr replied to Sturmgewehr's topic in ARMA 3 - SERVERS & ADMINISTRATION
Oh ok. :) Btw: What I do not understand. Under 100 players the CPU utilization is 70-80%. Over 100, the CPU utilization drops to 50-60%? i7-4770k Hyper-Threading on. para: -enableHT http://www.gametracker.com/server_info/134.255.236.193:2302 -
Arma 3 STABLE Server 2.18 "profiling / performance binary" feedback
Sturmgewehr replied to Dwarden's topic in ARMA 3 - SERVERS & ADMINISTRATION
Oh yes, I have spent hundreds of hours to optimizing the basic.cfg values... Step by step. Haha, test by yourself... An honest answer would have been: We have no idea what the correct values are... And that is the real reason why Bohemia Interactive has never been a true example of the basic.cfg values. There is no single clear statement on the subject. Only flimsy excuses. Since Operation Flashpoint. @Dwarden: Fix this -> with your magical performance binary. Then I'm happy... -

Maybe the crash is caused by wrong basic.cfg values. Give please a example from your own running server. -

Sturmgewehr replied to Dwarden's topic in ARMA 3 - SERVERS & ADMINISTRATION
Lol, you ignore me extremely hard... I want only one official basic.cfg, then we finally know, which settings are right for a server. You are making some "performance binary" things, but dont want saying anything to the value in the basic.cfg... I want only one example for hardware x with maxplayer y. What is now your problem? The settings in the basic.cfg are very important. You can have extremely strong Hardware, but when the settings are shit, you will have no chance to reduce the performance problems on your server. I do not understand why nobody wants to know that too? Shit basic.cfg settings = no performance binary can help the server fps... Btw: Thx SpanishSurfer for your support. -

First of all: Please give us your basic.cfg. servers on 2.5GHz Xeon (4x33 players) -> For one instance 1x33 players: language="Englisch"; MaxMsgSend=?; MaxSizeGuaranteed=?; MaxSizeNonguaranteed=?; MinBandwidth=?; MaxBandwidth=?; MinErrorToSend=?; MinErrorToSendNear=?; MaxCustomFileSize=0; Windowed=0; adapter=-1; 3D_Performance=1; Resolution_Bpp=32; servers on 3.7GHz Xeon were added (2x81 players) -> For one instance 1x81: language="Englisch"; MaxMsgSend=?; MaxSizeGuaranteed=?; MaxSizeNonguaranteed=?; MinBandwidth=?; MaxBandwidth=?; MinErrorToSend=?; MinErrorToSendNear=?; MaxCustomFileSize=0; Windowed=0; adapter=-1; 3D_Performance=1; Resolution_Bpp=32; servers on 2x2.9GHz Xeon were added (13x(72-84) players) -> For one instance 1x84: language="Englisch"; MaxMsgSend=?; MaxSizeGuaranteed=?; MaxSizeNonguaranteed=?; MinBandwidth=?; MaxBandwidth=?; MinErrorToSend=?; MinErrorToSendNear=?; MaxCustomFileSize=0; Windowed=0; adapter=-1; 3D_Performance=1; Resolution_Bpp=32; servers on 3.6GHz Xeon were added (3x100 players) -> For one instance 1x100: language="Englisch"; MaxMsgSend=?; MaxSizeGuaranteed=?; MaxSizeNonguaranteed=?; MinBandwidth=?; MaxBandwidth=?; MinErrorToSend=?; MinErrorToSendNear=?; MaxCustomFileSize=0; Windowed=0; adapter=-1; 3D_Performance=1; Resolution_Bpp=32; It gives so much mystikal things in the i-net for this Settings.... Please enlighten us. ------------------------------------ Why it's not possible to flush the Server Memory? Example: 100 Player: ~ 1h 25 server fps 1,7 GB ~ 2h 10 server fps 2,5 GB ~ 3h 5 server fps 3 GB.... So, now 20 Player of 100 stay on the Server ~ 4h 15 Server fps 3 GB? The Server fps will never rising up to 50 fps again... Why? I think, its the full RAM. What data remain in RAM? And why you can not delete this useless data? Need a cleanup Script from Bohemia Interactive. And not by user-generated cleanup Scripts (for clean map and ram).
