Possible fix for the "3 FPS Drop" Issue
takehomethecup replied to bis_iceman's topic in ARMA 3 - DEVELOPMENT BRANCH
I think you put them both in the Arma 3 DLL folder, and the appropriate one will be used depending on if you are running the 64-bit executable or the 32-bit executable. -

Does it not work at all on that CPU?

What? You might want to "Google" the error, then. -

Did you check your start-up arguments? The -maxmem one. -
64-bit Executables Feedback
takehomethecup replied to Richard.biely's topic in ARMA 3 - DEVELOPMENT BRANCH
Well, yeah. But that's not going to happen until they make a new game... What exactly is the point of 64-bit? I thought the reason people said it would help is because ArmA required more RAM. However, since it could only use up to 2GB of RAM, they would have to swap data between the disk and RAM on the fly. -
orange Orange DLC (wild) SPECULATIONS !!!
takehomethecup replied to Persian MO's topic in ARMA 3 - DLC
Well they would probably still follow "content is behind a paywall, features are free" idea... If that's what you are referring to. -
64-bit Executables Feedback
takehomethecup replied to Richard.biely's topic in ARMA 3 - DEVELOPMENT BRANCH
I think the "Feature Levels" thing in DirectX would still allow us to play. If not, they could still provide us with DirectX 11 support. -

I remember someone saying that according to the ArmA devs, it wouldn't help much. -

The only mods that don't work are the ones that rely on external dlls, right? -
64-bit Executables Feedback
takehomethecup replied to Richard.biely's topic in ARMA 3 - DEVELOPMENT BRANCH
That's great. However, the 64-bit version seems to access the disk more for me... Sometimes, my CPU usage decreases while ArmA is accessing the disk. -

I don't think there is anything such as "64-bit network code"... -
Arma 3 being upgrade to 64 bit

I don't think there is anything called "64-bit netcode"? If there is, that's interesting. -

I definitely believe that mods can be up to industry standards. I know that animations are usually done with motion capture. But, as far as I know, there are ways around that... As for everything else, you pretty much have what you need.

Today's dev-branch. I can't test though.

Benchmark Video For Tanoa [5960x & GTX 960]
takehomethecup replied to Phantom BAF's topic in ARMA 3 - DEVELOPMENT BRANCH
Cool. Never seen so many threads with RTSS(?). Now I understand why people say ArmA doesn't use more than one thread properly... -
I think that's more up to the mod. Since those game modes are not official, they usually go under CTF and COOP.

Titan Missile (AT rocket) - Top down attack
takehomethecup replied to dangerdan87's topic in ARMA 3 - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
You can control the Titan AT missiles(Like a hellfire), you can try and do a top-down attack with that... It may not be the same, but it's something. -
