  1. Outstanding work Slatts. You don't know how much I miss OFP in Arma 3. BTW have you thought about adding Éire forces cold war style? To reproduce battles a la Jadotville

    Nord, Arctic circle map II

I just wanted to say that so far looks really impressive. I can relate to some of the landscapes around the town I live in. If it ends being half as good as the Unnamed Cambodia you made or better, it's going to be legendary.

    Make Tanoa Publicly Available!

I'm now lost. Has Arma 3 being ever priced as a premium game? Not in my experience. Ok. Let's start by defining a premium game, I guess we will all agree that we are talking about Call of Duty, Battlefield 4, Sims 4, etc. They are usually priced at €70-80. We are not going to talk about simulator games like DCS, where a module itself (a plane) is already €40-50 and a map is €60. Arma 3 costed €20 few before the release. The 1st DLC pack, totally optional if you ask me, costed less than €20 before the release. APEX costed like the main game about €20 few before the release. So we are talking about €70 including the 1st DLC pack or about €50 without it. Way more cheaper than a premium game. And completely affordable by the average folk. To all that you could add that most DLC features are free, so you don't really need most DLCs, you only need to find good mods. And you can even find many junglish maps for free. In any case, I play with three or four different communities. And I still have to see someone that doesn't own APEX.

    Orange DLC (wild) SPECULATIONS !!!

Having in mind they are adding a strong gameplay component in each DLC (bipods and advanced ballistics and sound; helo advanced flight, sling loading and firing from vehicles; radar and vehicle loadout, etc. as said before. I'd bet for a more advanced medical system. With better animations and so on. The vehicles could be a CSAR helo and an ambulance, as previous users said. I have to say that besides the IMHO awful 2035 setting, BI really took a step forward with Arma 3 in gameplay.

    Ranking system?

I agree. Ranks are something that are better set per mission or per milsim group. BTW, if it's worth anything, which I don't think it is... Steam says I played Arma 3: 7981 hours* (feel free to check it on my Steam profile, same nick). And been around these forums since 2003 (check my forum profile), and playing the series since 2001 - day 1. So I guess you could say I have a little experience in the OFP-Arma series. *Note: Obviously the amount of hours Steam says it's not true as I'm married, have a job and I study in the university another degree. It's mainly due to a bad interaction with the anti-virus that makes Steam think I'm playing 24/7 non-stop.

So far Steam Workshop, but we hope that the great people at Armaholic and other services will upload it soon
  13. Yes. Yesterday, I tested it again (well I played another mission with it in a dedicated server). It worked perfectly. May I ask which mods are you using? (Some mods may cause troublesome interactions)

    That can be summarised with
  16. I tested that few times, and I was always able to recover the boats. I used the BAM in some of my sim group missions and all worked flawlessly so far.

    RHS Escalation (AFRF and USAF)

Well, in many Catholic countries Christmas presents are given on the Epiphany / Kings day (tomorrow), like Baviera (Germany), Italy, Spain, latin America, etc. Reality is that RHS team is multicultural, there are members from different faiths, countries, continents (Africa, Asia, Europe, Australia/Oceania, North America and South America), etc. You can check the member distribution around the World in this page: http://www.rhsmods.org/team Said that, I'm afraid you should not expect an update too soon.

    Farmers in Arma 3

Well, I was checking the list of vehicles in the final release of A3; and due that Altis has most of it land full of farms, I was wondering why there isn't a tractor or any farm vehicle. Are they gonna be in the future? I mean, to me it feels like a vehicle like that would add a lot of atmosphere. And even if the island is in a huge economic crisis that make the fuel prices be really expensive, they would need some kind of mechanical help. I guess farmers in a situation like that would also use animals for traction ( horses / cattle ), though they would be more difficult to implement. In any case maybe even mopeds would be a nice addition, if fuel price is that bad. In third world countries it's one of the main means of transport to carry goods to the market. Of course that any of these would barely affect directly to gameplay, but would help mission makers and also BI team to create more believable stories. Could even be part of the missions, as firefights can take place in the countryside and a farmer can go to complain about the destruction of his property or a lost soldier can use any of these to regroup with his unit. And they don't even need to do them from scratch, I'd use the A2 version tunned a bit up to fit more in A3 world.
  21. Great work guys! I'm really fan of the new trucks.

    Gendarmerie, there role in Tanoa

That's what I (poorly) tried to word here: Ofc that also happened in other colonies. OT but now in Netflix there's a nice movie about the Jadotville siege, where Belgian Katanga's gendarmes participated ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3922798/).

    Gendarmerie, there role in Tanoa

In many Western European countries there are two kinds of police, the "new one" that patrols the main towns which is Civilian, and then a traditional paramilitary one that patrols the countryside. The later follows the military code of the country and in certain occasions is managed by the Ministry of Defence. It's not that one is a different tier of the other, they practically do the same work, just that in different territories. Examples: France: - Police Nationale (Civilian for main towns and metropolitan areas) - Gendarmerie (Paramilitary police for the countryside, AFAIK they also work as military police) Spain: - Policía Nacional (Civilian police, that investigate crimes in main metropolitan towns), - Guardia Civil (Paramilitary police for the countryside towns, also work as border guards; they are the gendarmerie equivalent) - Autonomous Police (they are civilian police depts like Mossos d'Esquadra or Ertzainza replace both main police corps in their autonomous territories, they would be the equivalent of the US State Police) - Local Police (are civilian and represent the first layer of police and depend on the town hall they are, are the equivalent of American Sheriff depts). Italy: - Polizia di Stato (Civilian police for main transport installations) - Carabinieri (Paramilitary police for all kind of towns, they are the equivalent of the gendarmerie) - Guarda Di Fianza (Military police, that also investigates financial crimes and controls smuggling). Portugal: - Polícia de Segurança Pública (Civilian force that police main urban areas) - Guardia Nacional Republicana (Paramilitary force that police the countryside, equals to the gendarmerie) Etc. In South Pacific, many small island countries were colonies of France, and copied their system; with the difference that as they lack an actual military force, they use them also as their main national defence force.

    RHS Escalation (AFRF and USAF)

What that says basically is that you need to have those files to play that mission. You can try to update the files with our .bat updater or download the whole mod again. If it doesn't work, please report it in our feedback tracker (the link is in my signature).
