    Sorry for the super late reply BB.. !!\ I am just thinking about the mission based variables. outlined in the read me. EM_weightlimits = [300, 600, 900]; EM_fd_min_dam_h = 4; EM_fd_mu = 1; is there a way to set this in game, because i never saw that. what i was getting at is what if i wanted my client to be set at a max fall height of 6m instead of 4m. and someone else wanted it set at 10... or 15. we would have to set that up in every mission to play with those values. rather then just inputting settings in your menu or into a userconfig one time. and if i make a mission where i wanted to restrict this to a certain height then i can with the values set in the mission files.. that is all i was getting at. its more of a time saver. I personally dont always make "complete" Sp missions. sometimes its just a friently team against an enemy squad.. because i dont need respawn or have any use for setting up an init or description file. as soon as i post this im going to go look at your ingame menu and see if there is something missed about inputting these settings.   5. jsut a heads up most of the patch links on the first page dont work.... I have been trying to get IF to run in arma 3 for the last two days... im getting very frustrated with this process can someone help i have downloaded the game .. and ran it with admin privs for a few min and shut her down. i opened play with six and downloaded @ifa3 and @ifa3sa (i have cba already) I launched the mods and playwithsix did its conversion thing... after all was said and done i tried to launch the game... and i got a lot of dependancy errors... (i had not downloaded the arma 3 1.52 patch/fix yet so i downloaded that. and now the game launches.... however, based on this site by Gunter, i dont have the right Iron front version... http://www.missionrepository.com/ifa3-installation-tutorial at the bottom of the page it says that my Iron Front needs to be at version 1.13... I have bersion 1.03.. and for some reason i cannot update it to 1.13 i have tried to download the patches and they all say their corrupted or will not download because the link is broken... I have a team mate in my clan who was able to get it to work but i cannot and we did the same thing... what patches do i need to update my IRON FRONT to 1.13 my "Iron Front A3 version: 1.10" is correct my "Iron Front DLC version: 1.08" is correct My "Iron Front version: 1.13" is version 1.03 .. and i cannot get or apply the patches when i down load them from the Mission Repo. i get the message that the files are corrupted when i try to exeicute them... some of the files i cannt even get to download

    I curious as to why you made the config for the f-18 and not the f-18x as well.. anywho i guess ill just continue to use the one i made. (which is a copy and paste of the f-18 with just the classname changed.)     OMG this is Soo NOICE!! Just a headsup. With a quick copy and pase of the f_18 pbo ... and a small edit. I was able to make a config for the F18x.. works perfectly!!

  9. please forgive my stupidity, how would i use this for a area protection zone. I would like to have everything under a trigger invincible. (coop mission on nimitz) So i was going to _x addEventHandler ["HandleDamage", {0}]; and then, _x removeEventHandler ["HandleDamage", {0}]; (to remove the invincibility ) so far i have added a trigger around the nimitz, act: any I have named the trigger, safezone and added that into the code. where do i put this code to get it to work. i have tried in an Init.sqf , and into the trigger itself. I have also tried initplayerlocal. any help is appreciated

    Hye BB, any way these values can be worked into a userconfig file. For convenience sake... instead of having to input them into each mission clients can just set them personally ... and if a mission maker wants to restrict to a certain degree they can. Awesome Work, I have been awaiting the release of this mod for a while!! Adds a level of movement MUCH NEEDED in the battlefield of ARMA!! SOO Many THANKS given..
  12. just an idea there is a recently released mod that is basicly a Towing mod... you should contact them and look into seeing if they will agree to you using their code.... I believe it uses the physX rope..     Fatigue Feedback (dev branch)

    my two cents.... the current fatigue system is Perfect.... there is an OLD saying ... OLDER then BIS has been a company.... and it goes something like this... IF ITS NOT BROKE .... DONT FIX IT..!!!!!! You (BIS) have been refining the fatigue system for over a year now... and so after all that work and refinement... your going to completely change it... it Honestly sounds like a waste of Money... there are a lot of Problems and Real issues that have been on the feedback tracker for years..... but some how a system that has been working for a LONG time is being completely revamped.... sounds like BIS is squandering resources..... the current fatigue system and its year+ of fine tuning has worked well for me ... l almost never get fatigued... Those that complain are those players that carry a full carryall backpack , launcher, etx.... and then complain when they cannot move with out getting tired... im sorry their just foolish and idiotic, and there is no need to cater to those "TYPE" of people.. I have said what i had to say. good day.. love ya... (puts on flame suit) ...( gets ready for insertion) ,.....
  15. Hello all.. I have a question about the "-filePatching" start up parameter. I know a recent change in arma means that the user config and other unpacked information is handeled by "file patching." via "-noFilePatching", or "-filePatching" in the parm's... I have had my server provider add the "-filePatching" param to my server. when i try to join with my client i get an error message that says the server your trying to join doesnt allow file patching... but we added it to the startup params '... am i NOT suppose to be able to join servers with -filepatching... is it a security setting issue?? i read a post by Terox stating on how to get it working but im not sure if i need to?! anmyone have any insight.?? honestly i just want to be sure all the mods are able to load all their info.. and i know some of my server mods use the userconfig folder.. and from what i read that is covered by the -filePatching settings... maybe im not understanding it correctly. Again, if anyone has any insight on how to get a client to connect with -filepatching enabled that would be great
  16. @dwarden, "+hmtload in pbo fixed vs filepatching" what does this mean? I have had my sever provider add the "-filePatching" paramater to my servers startup parameters. and I tried to join with a client that has file patching enabled. the server doesnt let me join. how do i fix this and allow clients with file patching to join my server? or is that a bad idea (ie: security wise)?

With the one of the recent patches or updates to ARMA3. user configs and the like are treated as file patching.. so you have to run your server, and client with the "enable file patching" option in the launcher.... I could be wrong here.. but that is what i have gathered while reading issues others are having with other mods.

    you launch it just like you would ACE.... its a mod you dont ADD it to anything excpt the GAME as a WHOLE.. There is no script version of asr_ai... so add the folder name to your launch params.. and your good to go.. make sure the userconfig is set up... IE ; -mod=@cba_a3;@ASR_AI3;@ACE3;

  22. Hmmm, not very sound logic but your decision is your decision... If i may interject and state the obvious.. Just because your not seeing your island used on a bunch of public servers, is NO reason to stop development... Most people do NOT put UNFINISHED maps on their servers.. due to rpt errors , crashing, etc... Furthermore, There are OTHER private servers, and the like (hosted missions) that glide right under the radar.. Arma 3 is still a baby... and we as a community are JUST now getting a plethora of maps to play on .. with the lack of Vanilla content this game RELYS on teams LIKE YOU.. the Community relys on teams like YOU. Honestly i have tried to make a small island my only problem is lack of time. Understanding the tools and how to make a maps comes with time , the time i fall short of.. Dont be discouraged on further development. just because everyone and their brother are NOT using your map... If you make it, and make it well.. It will be used.. and used OFTEN!!!! Please rethink your decision and maybe just get your mind off it with another Island :)... Thanks for your effort and work put into this map. It truly is a piece of work!!

    hello i have redownloaded this several times.. every time i gett an ERROR UNKNOWN. ... Unable to extract tenfluiddooropen.pbo... winzip 7z and winrar will no open this corrupted file I have re-downloaded, and tried several extraction prog. none work. EDIT i just saw the alternative link... the file downloaded from the alt. link, extracted just fine. Thanks for the update DOOOd
