Yeah, the NATO BLUFOR is pretty flat, you could edit the nohq, and remove the velcro effect to make it flatter? It all really depends on the effect you want to achieve. The workaround I used to get an insignia on the opposite side was to add it to the custom head gear,vest/back pack as a selection, I can get National Flags on the Right Arms, and ZAP/Call sign numbers on the left side, quite easily, but they have to be part of a back pack, or headgear, or any other uniform item you make to get them to work. I use a similar setup for the US Flag on the Chest of the 6094 add-on I just released. -

Almost all of those modules named in the Wiki have changed their names since the last couple of releases, so it's out of date, hence why I asked for a current set up, that uses the modules that are present in the latest release, same with the majority of the you tube tutorials, all done with the older named modules. But thanks anyway for taking the time to respond -
Why wouldn't you engage an MBT with small arms? the chance of hitting optics, and periscopes are there, They used to charge at tanks on horseback !! ;)

The countless Gun Cams from the wars in Iraq, and Syria, from AH64's AH64D's, MI 24's Mi35's, Mi28's and Ka50's would refute that statement. Back in my day, it was easy to single tap with a GPMG to drop a target at 400-600M, but that's not what it's designed for, and not when it's at its most effective, when firing a burst of 5-10 rounds, the barrel oscillates ever so slightly to create a wider impact area called the Beaten Zone, which in effects creates a much larger area in which to inflict casualties, as opposes to a single round all the time. Using HE 30MM rounds in 3-5 rounds burst, that don't all land in the same spot creates pretty much a similar effect, and is far more effective and demoralizing on the enemy, and also creates a larger area of damage.

I have never been able to get this working well on single player missions, it's designed more for multiplayer servers than single players. It's a good script, there's something like it in MCC sandbox I believe ? -

The raised parts are from the p3d model and nohq, and the left and right arms are mirrored, so whatever you put on the arm is mirrored on the other, it's the same with the NATO BLUFOR uniform -

Nobody apart from closed beta testers knows what the standard are for Tanoa, map wise, so it's a bit presumptuous to ask that all future maps be brought up to a standard nobody has really been able to see yet. :D -

Dude do you have permission from the original artist to release these ? I'm almost 99% certain these are from a private addon by the Punisher. Also the footwear on some of those textures are mine, and you've not given credit, and you didn't ask permission. Respectfully Mods I ask that you remove this addon till the original artists have been given their due credit. -

For sure mate, very difficult to keep maps up to date especially with the up and coming changes for the Tanoa release, it's just food for thought for you, to give the map some alternative ambience. ;) -

On my way back up to my base camp in Basrah, Iraq, yesterday I paid a lot of attention to the atmospherics and ambience and will stick with what I mentioned already, the whole country has a dusty feel about it, is there any way you can replicate this on the map, a subtle dust cloud a bit like the Mogadishu map, but not as intense ? I've actually reduced my the saturation and contrast down a tad as well to give the buildings a more of a "bleached" look,as opposed to the crisp and green look, the majority of the date palm trees over here and caked in dust, and have a really dirty look about them, and not as green as they are, they can be after it pisses down with rain, but generally everything in this part of the world is covered in fine powdery dust!. I'm back on my laptop too so performance wise I'll not get to see the map in it's full glory again till I get home in 3 months time. -

Actually a lot of the rural villas in Iraq don't have gate lights etc, a lof of villas had their own portable generators as the electricity grid was unreliable in the early days, it still in unreliable in many rural areas. So villa's without lights isn't entirely uncommon. -

Awesome map, well done, not a big fan of some of the water though as it's black, looking?? Do you need to run the new CUP's Lighting addon as well. It does kill my FPS too, but it's a nice level map, no need to have a view distance so great if you're doing shit down in the weeds, if you're doing fast air.CAS, different story but for basic killing bad guys, 2000M should be good enough. Has anyone tried to get an ALiVE insurgency going on this? It might also have an impact on FPS. as I said, awesome map. -

I tried to replicate the Bradley bug, no joy, placed 3 Bradley M2A2's onto the desert map, and could immobilise and destroy them with every single RHS MBT. Sometimes the first round would only disable them, but the crew still bailed out, but never seen any take more than 3 hits between with ranges between 800-1200 M's- 16577 replies

Anyone who doesn't want to be your friend.!! In the North, East and West, it was the Sunni insurgents with AQIZ (Al Qaida in Iraq) thrown in for good measure, plus Shia Militias in areas within Baghdad, mostly Jaish Mahdi. From Diwaniya to Umm Qasr/Safan to the South it was mostly the Shia insurgents and Militias, they were the ones who moslty used EFP's brought across the border from Iran . Then there was the regular criminals who would try and hijack the trucks you were escorting, they'd blow out the tires knowing it's too time consuming to replace, so we'd either burn the bobtail to prevent it being used, or if the owner said they'd recover it, that was down to them.. 9/10 within an hour of leaving it, the crims would have all the tires/wheels replaced and it was long gone. -

Is there any up to date video tutorials to show a complete noob how to set up an insurgency on any map? -
The support modules, even the virtual artillery and Close air support still don't work for me after the last couple of update (since splendid really) . You can place them on the map, sync/connect them, the asset appears in the drop down list, after you chose it, nothing happens.

I have been working in Iraq since 2004, been as Far North, Far South, Far West, and Far East, been in countless contacts with the enemy between the years 2004-2008, been hit with multiple IED's, complex attacks and IDF attacks all over the country.. it's just a job!! ;)
