Just jumped onto the server there .... middle of night, but put on my NV :) Next thing I noticed was that nearly all areas have just ONE person left to kill. I took a tank to a far off area and still everything was at 1 person left. Couldn't figure out why, as other areas should have been lit up like a christmas tree !

I’ve been an avid supporter of all things Arma/OFP since the early days, but I really AM thinking seriously about whether or not to grab Arma4 (when supporters edition is announced!). Driving is so broken right now ... remember when we were asked to highlight regressions ? If convoys WAS working but now it isn’t then this is a massive regression and should be fixed before moving on. We’ve also talked about helping BIS much more by them exposing some engine stuff for us to tinker with, then we could help to improve Arma3 together. Alas no.

Are you planning to release the mission to all, following the massive debug so that we can host on our own dedi servers ? I ask cos I tend to play alone (awwwww) with AI only, and have been very impressed with the AI capability in the earlier Dissension versions.

Thanks @jtareb1, but we know about AI modifications. What we are asking is for AI capable commanders that will do the attacking/defending/building etc.

1) You need to have a plot licence to be able to build. They are found randomly around the map and sometimes as drops from enemies (I think!). You will need planks (you get that from chopping trees) and nails (you get those lying around) 2) This is why there are side missions for you to accomplish. Following successful completion there are loot crates (that can have NVG in them). The night is ALREADY sped up. You could always read a book while waiting :)- 96 replies

The problem is hosting it on a dedicated server. I manually port over the files to the dedi and run from there. However, don’t worry. -
Dissension is meant to allow progression (from level 1 upwards) on each server. @genesis92x hasn’t released an update of the mission but I’m sure that there are brilliant updates in his test version (just check the YT channel) I like the fact (if you are a high level) to be able to use more complex functions - reminds me of Planetside (original one) where I could become a tier1 commander and have access to orbital strikes :)

I regularly run up to 300 with my beefy machine, yes. With recent advances in server executables, this is possible. Back in the olden days smoke would come from your machine for anything over 200! AI do become really stupid when FPS/CPS is low (I miss Fred41’s ultilities that showed CPS). -
Damn. Forgot to check his YT channel. Some really nice improvements! Can't wait to play Dissension (with base building !)

Unfortunately anything over 300AI and Arma3 really craps out. Ai become brainless idiots that cannot see enemy a metre in front of them! -
Yeah, unfortunately there haven't been many updates. It has left my radar for a while. Really enjoyed playing it too.
