  1. But to temper expectations, it may not see (significant) improvements. The source problem may lie rather deep in the LOD / clutter tech, and changes may cause worse glitches elsewhere. What's happening is a fresh investigation, but no fix is on the horizon at the moment.
  2. We usually produce these video tiles from footage captured from trailers / developer diaries, which is also what we're waiting to do here

  9. I think you'll need to at least replay TT13 and finish it (probably not even needed to be gold). We're still testing these achievements internally, so stay tuned please.
  10. 21-08-2017 EXE rev. 142670 (game) EXE rev. 142670 (launcher) Size: ~507 MB (depends on Apex ownership) DATA Fixed: Removed the IDAP livery from the armed UGV Stomper in VR Garage Tweaked: Ambulance van beacon light timing Fixed: The AddUnits method in the friendly fire module was not working properly Remnants of War (potential spoilers) ENGINE Tweaked: The game may start up to 5 seconds faster Fixed: TT13 did not have the correct permissions to contribute to the relevant achievements Fixed: Mine Detector audio cues were not affected by SFX volume settings Fixed: Some asset animations were not working correctly due to recent optimizations of related commands
  11. Permission error in the engine; it should be fixed either in today's RC update, or Monday (I'm not 100% sure the fix made it in on time).
  12. Did you mean "but I didn't get"? If so, did you also not receive the bronze medal achievement? (by the way, achievements only started working on RC-Branch since yesterday's update)
  13. Strike_NOR makes some valid points on that actually (the cluster strikes will still always be highly destructive, there is no chance of a full malfunction). I'm afraid it's not currently planned to extend these cluster munition UXOs to broader weapon / gear malfunctioning. To me personally it would be an interesting aspect of warfare to explore, but I'd not expect it in Arma 3 vanilla during its lifetime to be honest. Certainly mods may have a few more options to try such things now, although from the engine point of view, the implementation is quite closely tied to the simulation of sub-munitions (not just any munitions).
  14. We had it prototyped as part of the Basic Helmet, but sadly ran into too many clipping and rendering issues to solve properly
  15. Here we made the decision to go a bit beyond what vanilla offers (except Revive in End Game e.g.), and also encompass custom scenarios / mods, mil-sim roleplaying and the real world. You're right that it exposes some less-developed aspects in vanilla, but we still believe at least including this information for those who are interested, is worth it

    Laws of War DLC Feedback

Thanks for the feedback, also the criticism. For what it's worth: there are some valid points on both 'sides' of the argument. We'll try to explain more of our goals, decisions and motivations over the coming weeks in OPREPs, the Developer Diary and other channels. The package is pretty big once you dive into Eden Editor with the DLC filter in our opinion, and a lot of that is free for the platform (i.e. all props and most reskins for IDAP). There are actually a lot of brand-new meshes, especially considering the size of the dev team involved. Yes, there are things we'd love to have added, but didn't or couldn't. Ultimately it's for you, players, to evaluate whether the DLC is for you. We hope there's something of value for many
  17. I actually really like this idea and we may explore it after the first release. Can't confirm it at this stage, but I think it's feasible (we'd need to be able to fully disable its 'mine' properties e.g.)
  18. It requires even less weight to trigger and probably also has a larger trigger area (not 100%, some values may yet be tweaked).
  19. It's more that it was missing for this type of explosion (even the existing artillery ones), so it was added. Indeed it falls in the category of an explosion being nearby, or a heavy vehicle driving past.
  20. There are various new submunition parameters that can control randomization / pattern / types indeed. Stay tuned for updated documentation asap (check the in-game Config Viewer and search for the related ammo). By the way, this technically was to some degree already in the previous main branch updates ;)
  21. It's on our wishlist, but not currently supported in the engine. We'll evaluate feasibility to handle that later, but no guarantees.
  22. Good catch, I'll try to handle that better.
  23. We've actually had this same discussion while doing the info stands, and landed on sticking to the Field Manual text for the Mohawk (which also references the Merlin as its foundation - shared ancestor). But I agree it's a bit off somehow ;)
  24. This looks like a bug. We've had to extend Content Licensing to explosives (read: magazines), but it seems this aspect was not caught. Looking into it. Update: we cannot seem to reproduce this. We tried the retail version owning just the core game, and it let us use the APERS Mine Dispenser in VR Arsenal. Did you do something more specific?
