Thinking of upgrading my older Asus 32" VA32AQ WQHD 1440p 5ms IPS 60 hz for this LG 32GK650F-B 32" QHD 144 hz ? What difference would I see in Arma 3 using a 1080ti and i7 -6700k @ 4.2 with 16bg ddr 4 3200mhz ram? I play with resolution of 2560 x 1440p setting on high view distance of 100,000 with objects set to 3000 and average around 40-80 fps is sp and 20-60 fps in mp. Of course this depends upon the mission etc... I don't experience any real motion blur or that much lag. Old eyes maybe lol, but I heard it can make a world of difference in just how smooth games can play. I am thinking of upgrading my vd next spring when stores have stock of the 3080 or 6900xt. Or should I stay with this monitor and wait for the vd instead? I can get the monitor for a great deal now and I am tempted to buy it. thanks -
I guess you never found a solution to this for dedicated servers? This is too bad and weird it won't work. thanks for all the hard work!!

Agree 100%!! Your missions are awesome and I wish UBI crap would remaster those old R6 and Recon games, cause the new ones just don't cut it. Or maybe I am getting old lol. -

Hey DSabre, Love the planes and all the new ones especially the Stuka with the cannon pods but the recoil when you shoot them is too strong. Any way you could tone it down a bit so it makes it easier to use them? thanks again! -
It doesn't work at all on a dedicated server. Tried with IFA3 mod and Vanilla A3. Used a steam mod "no weapon or recoil" and that worked. But I want to control the recoil just not have it 100% as default and not 0% as in that mod. Yours was a more convenient way and would like it to work for MP. thanks!

Love your mod, couldn't edit/play Arma 3 with out it. Also love the ability to control the weapon sway and recoil but it doesn't appear to work on a dedicated server. Any reason why this wouldn't work if it is hard coded into the mission? Looking forward to the new changes! Thanks for all your hard work!

Love this and use it in all my missions and thanks for the update! Question, though, is there a way to change the starting VD in the configs? Every time I start up a mission and go to the VD settings, my VD is always set to 8910.94 for everything including object distance. Is there a way to change this default parameter? Thanks again for all your hard work! -

Loving the new map and all the new assets, I can live without the interiors but are there no airports? I realize this is based on real world data, but having at least 1 or even 2 airports would be nice, or maybe I just cant find them? -

I guess no one ever played Arma or Arma 2 then judging by the comments here (Gunter excluded 🙂). The AI used to target planes to the detriment of other tanks being around them. I have seen and lived it. Being shot down by AI when in a helicopter and them in a t72. My fault for flying low and slow. If I am in a tank and you are stupid enough to fly close to the horizon and go very slow or even hover for a minute I will shoot you out of the sky regardless of game OFP, Arma, Arma 2 or Arma 3. Much harder to shoot a plane down when he zooms by but again, the helicopter is more vulnerable than a plane because it can hover, fly slow and land etc... much quicker and practically anywhere where a plane cannot. @mickeymen it sounds like you are butt hurt because you keep getting shot down by humans. Maybe adjust your tactics or don't fly then. Just sayin....- 29 replies

@.kjuI guess 3rd time will be the charm? :) Not sure what you mean by fictional factory numbers. If a tanks turret speed in full rotation is 20 seconds as per factory specs why is it fictional? There are a lot of things that tankers on both sides did to their tanks that never followed the written manual, such as the load out of main cannon shells. Some tankers crammed more into the tank than was specified by the manual, and removed unnecessary equipment to make room for them. I will plead my case again on discord.... Now, can we have tanks not always blowup A3 style? :) -

Turret speeds on some of the tanks are not correct. Almost all the German tanks are slower than they were in real life and certain Allied ones as well . Unless you want to turn the German Turrets by hand then they are correct which the game seems to simulate now. I am not sure why this was changed again. You can try the Real Panzer Mod by RP Allan on steam. This should make all the tanks Allied and Axis the correct turning speed. -

Have you implemented this in IFA3 yet for both tanks and vehicles and is it similar to the damage system IF used? Very tired of the BIS 18 year old system... Also disappointed in the Tank DLC released, they should have went after the IF team to do a proper Tank DLC... flame suit on -

Anyone have an updated version of this wonderful spawning script? I loved using these in IF and Arma 2 and wish there was something this easy to use in Arma 3. -
BS! Yes the game is not optimized to the level everyone wants it and might not ever be unless the game can fully utilize more than 1 thread but the comment bolded above is pure crap. I could play this game with a GTX690 and get 40 fps no problem (see my specs below) but when I bought R6 Siege and Ghost Recon Wildlands, both games became unplayable with my current set up. I had to go and get a GTX1080ti just to enjoy those 2 games at the same level of details I can enjoy A3 at with my previous GTX 690 a 6 yr old video card. And I still average 40 fps on all 3 games with most details on high to ultra, so please don't say other games are that much better optimized than A3.

Can we not have the option to switch back to the old ways? I don't mind the new controls for fine tuning but it was nice to have the ability to do other micro managing while the driver drove to a location you specified. IE set up your other troops to flank or even the ability to AFK and grab a beer. The biggest issue BIS faces is how to make the AI do whatever the player wants without thinking independently on their own. IE a banzai charge cannot exist in Arma because of this, the AI drivers go slow over certain ground when they should be going fast and their are many more examples. If BIS could get the AI to blindly follow orders when necessary, instead of relying on their own AI computations or interpretations, most AI problems the players experience could be nullified. And herein lies the problem for Arma 4, can BIS accomplish this without losing the "AI feel" now of the Arma series if you know what I mean. What do you guys and gals think?- 104 replies

I run 3, 32 inch monitors at a 7680x1440 resolution so I think Arma can handle the smaller one. Why not buy 3 monitors and do that instead? -

I have finally, after some trials and tribulations, got the server working again. Server address has changed as I got an new and much faster internet provider for much much cheaper than my previous provider. $100 a month cheaper!!! Anyways... after putzin around trying to get the ports open I had success today! The new address is Server address: 174.3.44.37 :2302 Same missions as before. Working on a US vs Germany vs Russian to be released soon. Oh, and so you know the server is safe. I had DEATH try and connect but he was denied. He even sent one of his minions, DARKNESS and he was denied as well. So play nice, have fun and I will jump on from time to time to play with you guys! The DLC is need to join the server How to join the server; 1. Start the game and click on the multiplayer tab 2. click on the remote tab 3. Add the address 68.150.121.50 and click ok 4. click on the game and join -

The kick back is like an 88mm canon now and the guns jump all over worse than before. the mp40 is controllable when you watch live firings on youtube and all people comment how easy it is to handle, yet in game it jumps all over. also take an mg42 lie down and fire it. you will notice that it jumps up even though it shows it being rested on the ground. I have never seen a live firing of the gun do this. I think it is a problem with the way arma handles weapons and watching the ai fire the same guns they don't experience any kick backs or recoil, disadvantage human. other than that it is pretty good and only getting better!!!!!
