  1. The author summerized this when exploring the reason MG not attacking some helicopter in personal MOD, resistance tank displaying green name for east vehicles, and units like M1A2 and Leo2A6 displaying M1A1 name when just being created.   2. I played on launch and had EVERY SINGLE shooting range challenge except the final PM (because it was broken) at GOLD. It all got wiped at some point. I'm assuming it was at the intro of seasons. Came back this season and began doing them but came to find that the final challenges for a few of the machine guns and subs are near IMPOSSIBLE to get gold on. I'm pretty good at the game, like, really good according to the angry messages I get but I can't hit those all 10 of those spread out moving targets on Suomi KP/31 final challenge in 10 seconds. I got 10.77 and it's not going down. Please beef up those timers a little bit.
  3. Dear Developers! I send this request here, because I don’t want to wait for years until it is noticed on the feedback, There are always more chances to be noticed. Please reduce fire accuracy of subordinate AI-gunner vs air-targets: I'm not saying that a tank cannot shoot down a helicopter, but such a scheme - one shot - killed, one shot - killed, one shot - killed - is not normal. The player inside the tank (commander) has the ability to kill helicopters from the first shot (120mm cannon), while other tanks (AI) will not shoot at 120mm a helicopter in generally! It turns out that when a player is in a tank and his opponent is a AI-helicopter, then the player has the advantage before AI (player can destroy the helicopter from the one-two shot). Or when a player in a helicopter and attacks a AI-tank, he again has the advantage! (since the AI in the tank will not shoot him) As seems to me - All you need to do is to adjust the fire-accuracy (much lower) of the AI-gunner in the tank, against air targets, then it will explain why the AI does not attack the helicopters with the help of 120 mm - this is not effective. Or set it up so that the AI can also use ability fire helicopters. If I am mistaken and such sniper-accuracy is possible in real life, then give the AI the same ability! This will correct the deformation of abilities - Player/AI Repro steps: 1. place in the map your tank (player commander) 2. place in the map enemy helicopters (must move in your direction) 3. run game and order to your gunner attack them

    Gun play awkwardness

    So I've been finding gunplay awkward. I've never been killed carrying a crate even when there is someone right on top of me. Just run and you can't hit enough to be killed. I figured I'd gotten lucky all 5 times until I watched two guys duke it out for 5 minutes. One finally drops and the other guy goes prone and starts looting. I run up pull out my luger as I'm literally standing ontop of him and promptly unload the 8 rounds I have. To my suprise he gets up and proceeds to shoot me for a minute till I'm dead. I get guns aren't lazerbeams but when I'm litterally standing on a guy Im pretty sure I'd have to try to miss... Anyone else having this experience? Here is a prime example. Dear Arma community, Previously i've shared all my knowledge and information on ACE3 Sniper Tutorial & Specifications of all Military Sniper Rifles in BI Offtopic forum (attached below): Now I'd like to share some reasearch i just made related to Arma 3 rifles performance. Yes i did some thorough analysis on the precision & accuracy of Arma 3 Rifles (vanilla & mods). I tried to measure their performance by analyzing their shot-group (bullet dispersion) just like real snipers determine the accuracy of their guns. I shot 40-shot group at their zero range (100 m) and 40-shot group at their maximum effective range. Then i calculated the analysis using a Gun Precision Calculator called "TARAN" to determine the in-game rifle's true precision & accuracy. Then I compared the in-game precision to real-life precision to see if the in-game rifles are overpowered or not. There are 5 Types of Rifles based on their Precision level: 1) Benchrest Rifle --> Circular Error Probable = 0 MoA – 0.09 MoA --> Shot Group / Shot Dispersion / Extreme Spread size is about 0 MoA - 0.23 MoA (0.00 inch - 0.23 inch at 100 yard) 2) Precision Rifle --> Circular Error Probable = 0.1 MoA – 0.3 MoA --> Shot Group / Shot Dispersion / Extreme Spread size is about 0.25 MoA - 0.76 MoA (0.25 inch - 0.76 inch at 100 yard) 3) Sniper Rifle --> Circular Error Probable = 0.4 MoA - 0.6 MoA --> Shot Group / Shot Dispersion / Extreme Spread size is about 1.00 MoA - 1.53 MoA (1.00 inch - 1.53 inch at 100 yard) 4) Designated Marksman Rifle --> Circular Error Probable = 0.7 MoA – 0.9 MoA --> Shot Group / Shot Dispersion / Extreme Spread size is about 1.78 MoA - 2.30 MoA (1.78 inch - 2.30 inch at 100 yard) 5) Assault/Battle Rifle --> Circular Error Probable ≥ 1 MoA --> Shot Group / Shot Dispersion / Extreme Spread size is bigger than 2.54 MoA (2.54 inch at 100 yard) here's all the videos & their analysis.
